JOSH IS STAYING!!

He's certainly smart, but odds are he's not going to be successful in Detroit. "NFL head-coaching candidates with ties to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick have already filled multiple openings during the 2018 hiring cycle. The other Belichick associates -- some with strong ties to Belichick, others with weaker ones -- have combined for a 156-227 (.407) record as head coaches under varying circumstances, with only one posting a winning record so far. This poor mark has become a leading case against hiring Belichick assistants, but the associations could be overblown."

I think Patricia has a chance to break that.

For one thing, he's got a real QB. And having Quinn there helps a lot.

We will see though. It's Detroit, the bar isn't that high.

Oh man, seeing this restored my hope.

Now I’d party harder than the eagles if butler is resigned. Listening to mc hammer

In a way Butler has already been resigned.

I just saw this news now and I'm psyched. We have maybe the best offensive coordinator in the game, a guy that Brady obviously works well with and trusts, back. Also he's clearly the heir apparent when Bill eventually retires. I could not care less about him spurning the Colts.

So we keep judge we keep assistant QB coach Sclhlupuksi as well?

Isn't there a violation of NFL rules that say the Colts could not hire McDaniels until after the Pats season was over? The fact that the Colts hired those coaches in coordination with McDaniels implies Josh was working for the Colts under the table.

he is absolutely changed since he got those stupid metrosexual hairplugs

he has sold out, no doubt

nbc now tells him what to say
I just have to ask, how are you already "threatening the starter's job" with posts after 3 weeks. Were you someone else on here before that got banned?

Tough division to start ones hc carer on, with Rodgers in green bay and a seemingly resurgent Minnesota team.

I am going to assume that all the mediots will turn this into a BB retirement scenario and drone on and on about how the end is near. I hate the media, always about controversy.

lol over at the Colts forum they believe the NFL is going to compensate them with multiple draft picks from the Patriots for this, including MULTIPLE FIRST ROUND PICKS hahahahahahaahahahaha!!!!

Man, if there was ever a silver lining in that ****show of a SB.. This is it!

**** the Colts!

I wonder if there isn't some sort of promotion involved for Josh? Like being named assistant head coach, which was Scar's position before his first retirement, with more responsibility? That might make it easier to help develop a new OC if Belichick really does only have one or two years left.

one guy over there wants us investigated lmfao

Now, I'm hoping for Schiano. I am no expert on him or Flores, but I'd like to see a different mindset on defense. I'm tired of the bend, but don't break defensive approach. It has served us well overall, obviously. But the long drives we give up keeps the ball out of Brady's hand. Plus, we have given up a lot of points in the playoffs recently. Let's bring in someone from outside the team, especially a guy Bill respects, is well experienced, and might have something different to offer.

I suspect there have been promises made to him like you mentioned. I also suspect he has been given a raise to, or about, head coach level. Why not? With all the recent success and long playoff runs, Kraft can afford it. Plus, McDaniels said last year that he didn't leave because his family was happy where they were and he didn't want to leave unless it was a perfect situation. Kraft must have made his current situation, with additional money, perfect.

I've been down in the dumps since Sunday. This has put a smile back on my face.
