The media is unbearable. I know some on here are saying "just ignore it, why do you care?" I am one of those people that does care because I'm a fan and hate injustice. To me being labeled a "cheater" has the impact on an athlete/team like a person being labeled a racist...I know what it feels like to be falsely accused of something and the frustration of having facts and evidence on your side and having to claw back your reputation and the damage that the small shadows of doubt that can still linger even after your exonerated.
Listening this morning to Doug and Wolf here in AZ with Clayton on as a guest, I'm so pissed that they're still on the "someone obviously HAD to have let out air in the footballs. Who ordered the code red? ". Clayton believes the league WILL drop a fine or some form of discipline even with no evidence other than the "someone HAD to have let air out." Theory. Is it too hard for these guys to grasp the science? Is it above their pay grade to step back and look at all the misinformation, the retractions and corrections of all the leaks, the MIT, Carnegie Melons of the world and their research, the fact that the ONLY ball reported to have lost 2 PSI was the ball Tin the possession of the Colts? Are these too hard to even consider, look at ? These media guys are all in on the statements of Troy Aikman, Montana, Brunell but never want to consider or discuss the comments of Dilfer, Boomer or even the fact that D'qwell Jackson never felt a difference in the ball?! What do we need to do? Do we have to band together and start flooding the mailbox of maybe a Cowherd or a Mike and Mike? The Boston guys can say what they want all day but all their comments, analysis and opinions will just garner a "obviously they feel that way! They are in Boston!" Type reactions. I for one will be irate if the league does come out with some sort of inconclusive verdict or a "we have no proof but the balls were under spec so we are gonna fine the team" statement. If that happens I pray Kraft comes out and gives Goodell the double single finger salute and the Pats just go all sort of crazy next season with a new 2015 F You Tour! Sorry for the long post on a tired subject, but I'm human and can only take so much unwarranted Patriots bashing. Ok. Rant over. Colts have a ZERO POINT ZERO chance of not getting destroyed by Brady and Co next season.
