Funny you say that. You should have seen the hue and cry made on these forums when Cannon was extended as a back-up swing tackle in 2014 to keep him here with Solder as LT and Seabass as starting RT. And that was just a 2 year $9m contract. By keeping him here we were able to give me a 5yr $31m contract two years later after he managed to start at RT for whole year in 2016 when Seabass swung to LT as Solder was out for year.

I don’t think cannon did. He was IRed last year.

Jones wasn’t a starter yet back in 2016, and was on IR for the 17 Super Bowl.

Come to think of it, Jones still isn’t really a starter.
