Joe Milton at WR?

Oh we'll definitely see about that. Milton's not gonna be happy at all with the playing time he gets as a 4th string QB. if he wants to make an impact on the field, he'll get over himself on that score pretty quickly. QBs selected in the 4th round don't tend to have a lot of agency in where they play, if they want to play at all.

If he is cut, He will be the most sought after udfa QB and he will have his SB. He might cut his 1st year salary in 1/2, but the upside to being a qb in the league is certainly worth the shot. I think he will be ok with being the 4th string PS qb as a rookie. Next year he should be 3rd string. Hell, I want him to get the reps before Zappe in TC, We know what Zappe is after the last two years, He is not going to win you any games. In two years Milton might. Hell I rather see Rourke get reps before Zappe next summer.

Remember the hype around Malik Cunningham and how the Ravens grabbed him after he was cut.

Cunningham is a poor man’s Joe Milton.

Unless he has a terrible TC, Milton should move in to the QB3 slot, with the Pats trying to trade Zappe and cutting Rourke. If he and Maye make solid progress in 2024, Brissett may be only a 1 year bridge QB with Milton moving to QB2. I don't see Milton being moved to WR.

Taysom Hill is still listed as a QB and started quite a few games. He settled into his role as QB/wildcat/RPO/extra blocker/receiver etc... He is also a crowd favorite in New Orleans. Hill is the first person I thought of when I heard this pick. I just don't know if Milton can catch.

People like O'rourke come and go constantly. He's a fringe talent. Sometimes they get lucky and latch onto a roster for a few years. Mostly they rot on the practice squad or simply leave football

while he trains as a QB or TE or whatever is his best use in the NFL.
Cannot teach 6'5" ... he is a unicorn and it will be interesting.

Seems like he should get a legitimate shot at qb. I had to suffer through weak armed Mac and it feels like I'm deserved to see a qb that can throw in the wind. Plus we seemed to draft wrs that excel at catching difficult passes so whatever issues he has with accuracy may not be a problem.

QB. He said he wants rot stay there, leave him there. If you’re not playing Maye, make him QB2.

Design some plays for him, goal line, 3rd and short. Get him involved.

If you get a Tatum Hill, not only is that value, it’s future trade value, which is great for a backup.

It’s a weird league. Things happen, emergencies, injuries, etc.

Love the pick. Let him cook.

I hope he gets a fair shot in camp. It seems to me that at the very least we can use him for hail mary's.... most teams start thinking about a hail mary around midfield.... we can throw one the next play after a touchback.

If Maye proves to be the QB they expect and Milton starts showing promise. Use him on isolated plates here and there.. We have him for 4 years. After year 3 if Maye is your guy trade Milton for a nice draft pick.
If he is challenging Maye then that is a good problem to have

Some here was calling for him to be drafted much earlier, of course was with a trade down and not getting Maye but he's still the same guy.
