Well he will have to play the Cowboys and Giants twice a year which won't exactly be a field day for him.

I can't really blame Asante for choosing Philly, even though they haven't won crap since the merger their fans are still rabid and Philly is still seen as a great franchise, unlike the Jets.

Plus, and this is probably not true, maybe Asante knew his fans in NE would hate it if he went to NYJ? I'd like to think players to that into consideration on occasion.

That's a good point about Assante not wanting to alienate the fans. But it would be more likely he has an eye to the future and does not want to alienate BB.
