The general consensus is that Plax is not going to avoid jail time. Odds are he wn't play a down in 2009 and may not play a down until the 2013 season if he gets the full 3 1/2 year penalty.

I would think most NFL teams have discussed picking up Plax, I would be for it if the money is right, incentive laden contract, cause it looks like he might go to jail.

Yea, I think he might. But I would not be surprised if he walked on the gun charges. Only because it's been my experience that rich and famous people don't go to jail on a first offense.

I would also be interested in Matt Jones, the Jets need a number 1 desperately if they want to compete in the AFCE.

New York's idiot of a mayor is looking for the death sentence to make an example of Burress. All the pleas have involved jail time, and it's been Burress who's backed out on them, according to the reports I've heard and read.
