Bah. Just another game. Possibly has playoff hosting implications, so it's a bit more important than that. But not much.
But otherwise, it's just another regular season game against a playoff contending out-of-division team. Pats have a pretty good record in those in the last few years, particularly at home, but they drop a few here and there. Win would be nice, but it's a game the team can lose and it won't mean much at the end of the day. I think it's going to be close. The Chargers and their fans are going to view this as a mini-superbowl and play accordingly.
The reality is that it's a much less important game overall than today's game was. With only six division games now, they practically count double.
