What happens to Covington ? He is the biggest issue next to Mayo.
He should be gone , the new HC hopefully has a lot of his own people he will want to bring in
There's an offensive coordinator position open at UNC.

Props where props are due. Most people including me thought Kraft didn't have the balls to admit he was wrong after just 1 year. Jobs not done though. Wolf shouldn't still have his job. Don't partially clean house. Make that **** squeaky clean kraft!
They have to keep wolf for now.
He is working with the draft scouts and such but will be let go once a HC is hired
You can’t just fire everyone all at once and have their replacements come in to empty hallways and not know what info has been accumulated for the upcoming draft. But most important the current roster evaluations.
Wolf will nit be retained long term. Just for the transition

I want to see the Kraft family realize playing goodie two shoes for Goodell has only gotten them abused, and go full Al Davis on the league.

How about Gruden as HC and Flores as DC?
Or Flores as HC and Gruden as OC?

Either way, rub Goodell’s face in it! The league can’t interfere with team hiring choices like that without opening a legal can of worms they won’t want to have crawling all over Roger’s desk.
Yea, making decisions based on thumbing your nose at the league is a wise strategy and it's the way they should go about building a winning culture. Leave football out of decisions. It never works to base football decisions on football.

Since 2003 Gruden has had 1 double digit win season out of 10 seasons coaching and only 3 winning seasons. That's over the last 20 years.

This is like saying we should hire **** Vermeil or Brian Billick because they won Super Bowls.

The people clamoring for Gruden are doing so for reasons unrelated to football.

Gronk on the halftime show
Sounds like Vrabel and rumblings that Josh McDaniels returning also
Sounded like hearsay. But it was said
Vrabel was playing for the Patriots at the time McDaniels was coaching, including Josh's first three years as offensive coordinator, 2006-2008. I don't know if they get along, but they certainly know one another.

I would like to see Daboll come in as OC with Vrabel if he’s fired by the Giants.

While it doesn’t take away from his mistakes this time last year, good to see Kraft righting a wrong. It’s just a pity that we wasted another year figuring all this out and Kraft couldnt see wider than his relationship with Belichick.

Good point. Ill be patient.

Been scouring info about Vrabel
From what I hear he likes Tommy Rees for OC
He also likes Ryan Cowden as GM

Actually, I would love to see Vrabel sign with the Jets and the next day give Woody Johnson a piece of loose-leaf paper saying, "I resign as HC of the NYJ."
"I never sign to be the HC of the NYJ"

They actually don't. They have to keep Groh for now, but Wolf's job is covered by Highsmith if that's what they want.

Rees takes concepts from everything, really a modern offense fusing lots of concepts together - which will really be something more akin to a college-style offense, but did work in Cleveland under the WCO concepts, so that's a plus. Honestly, that's ****ing fine with me. I'd love it if they kept McCartney on for continuity as well (and considering how the QBs played, would be worth keeping).

Cowden's also kind of whatever, been around for a while, not a nepo kid, mixed track record with the Titans and Panthers before the Giants, nothing horrible. He did have Darnold and Mayfield on the same roster before their ownership collapsed there, so there's that.

I think Highsmith will stay on in some form for continuity's sake, and because I think Jonathan trusts him.

In other words, fine. It will be a real NFL program, at least, and not some mish-mash hybrid of nepo-kids and people who went to Israel with Bob. Also, there will be full staffs, not the understaffed nightmare we've had here for decades.

Vrabel would be smart to keep Springer on too, they lucked out finding that guy.

Technically your right
But none of those guys are the GM
Obviously they fired Mayo so they will be hiring a new HC
I do believe it will be Vrabel with an outside chance of Johnson
I think either of them will want to work with a GM that they know they can work with
Until Kraft knows he must hire a new GM you leave the existing one in place
There is no need to fire him now. He’s getting paid
When /if the time comes then you move on
