That’s what I think too. Jerod ****ed them out of the good pick and also took off Kraft’s special blue pin. Definitely being spiteful.
And, he’s too stupid to realize he took his chances of ever coaching in the NFL again from slim to zero with his selfish, childish behavior today. He did it anyway. He just couldn’t help himself. No impulse control. Good thing he made millions, because I doubt Kraft will continue to be his patron after today, and the NFL won’t touch him.

Bob and Jon have big balls for this one… The apology in their statement to the fans means a lot. They owned it. I give them a lot of credit for owning it and making it right immediately.

Now it’s about what they do next.
That apology makes me think that Tavai's BS and Mayo's handling of it played a big part in the decision to dump Mayo.

Bummed about AVP being gone but after getting us a win screw him too lol

I just vomited in my mouth.

'...is expected to return..." doesn't mean jack, it's a nothing burger
Graff got beat to the firing story and had to put out something. He's an okay writer but he's hardly dialed in

I’m a fan of Vrabel & think he’ll be an upgrade over Mayo. However, early signs aren’t promising the Krafts learned their lesson. Their plan may be to hire Vrabel without an extensive search and keeping the front office intact. That’s not good enough.

Nah this is on Kraft. He should have fired him earlier if he was going to just do it right after the game. Mayo had no incentive to lose if he knew he was a lame duck and probably wants his final game to be on a good note.
He wasn’t going to do it right after the game. That’s the point. Jerod didn’t fellow the game plan and it’s not like Kraft could fire him during the game. Kraft fired him immediately out of rage.

They can make a decision on Wolf once they have some candidates for HC. If Vrabel wants his own guy as GM, that’s ok with me.

I wish they had (or will yet) fire Wolf, particularly given that a prospective HC might want to have very significant input into who will serve as GM. I would certainly fire Wolfe in a flash if his being there made even slightly less likely that any of the strong candidates for HC would take the job.

I would hope they will tend toward hiring an experienced HC (Vrabel, e.g.), and I suspect such a candidate might well want a strong say in whom he would work with as GM. I think that's fair, and if I were the Krafts I would extend that courtesy to any strong, experienced HC candidate they might want to hire.

I would actually prefer that they fire Wolf immediately, but it's hard to expect the Krafts to make two sensible decisions in one day.
