the Dline is due to shut down the running game, they have been taking a beating all year about the running game, but when it counts these guys perform. How Green can write this piece and not even mention Seymour, Wilfork, Warren, or Jarvis Green?
What do you get when you add the one-two punch of Fred Taylor (left) and Maurice Jones-Drew (right) and a coach in Jack Del Rio who is making all the right moves?.
Probrably the same thing everyone else got this year. It's not like the Pats haven't faced a good running attack this year is it and backs that can do damage.
And it also ignores their schedule outside of the division. The AFC South played the NFC West (Arizona, StL, SF) and the AFC West (Oakland, KC). That's five awful teams. NE played the NFC East (none) and the AFC North (Cincinatti, Baltimore). That's two awful teams.
So NE played four more awful games within their division, while jacksonville played three more outside of their division. The difference has goes from big to negligable when you leave their divisions and look at the entire schedule.
