And I don't recall seeing Vrabel's wife with the approval of the HC roaming the sidelines chatting up Patriots staffers or any NFL officials during games and serving no purpose whatsoever doing so other than to build her own grift err I mean brand.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum.... this thread is just SBB throwing his usual temper tantrum over the fact that people dared to criticize his hero for having Bunny on the sidelines with him before UNC games. I will repeat here what I said 2 months ago:

If we are being fair, both things are true:

1) Coaches and/or players spending a few moments with their wives or significant others or children or parents or friends before a game is not at all an unusual practice. It is common to say hi, give hugs, take a few pics, etc, etc.

2) The amount of access Bunny has to the UNC team and the amount of time we have seen her spending around the team (camp, practice, sidelines, team bus, etc) is highly, highly unusual

It's not even that complicated for me. It doesn't matter that it's two consenting adults, we're talking about a huge age difference.

If Nick Saban was still coaching and had his wife of 50+ years on the sidelines with him, I highly doubt people would care.

Months later, he's divorced his wife and next season he's standing on the sidelines with his 19 year old girlfriend. Once again, consenting adults and nothing illegal. But no objective person can say there's no difference in how that is perceived.

I think the biggest difference between Vrabel's wife and Belichick's girlfriend is that Belichick's girlfriend inserts herself into the operations of the football team.

Plenty of civilians are on the sidelines pregame as seen with Fitzy and his kid in the picture. I once entered a raffle for tickets that included the opportunity to go onto the field pregame.

Jen Vrabel from what I can tell is just a visitor to the sidelines. So I don't care. I really don't care about Belichick's girlfriend on the UNC sidelines either since I am not an UNC fan. But I don't think they are the same thing.
