Jeff Triplette to ref Pats-Texans

Can anyone name a crew they'd feel good about ahead of time? Doesn't matter. They all pretty much suck. Triplette's crew just happens to have a particular brand of "suck." Look, I don't mean to be unnecessarily cynical, but I believe it really doesn't matter.

Vinovich's crew may be the best.

Honestly, all these refs stink so bad. Who cares!! They all stink.

He's one of the better ones of a horrid, putrid lot. But, in my mind, at least, that doesn't mean he's good. However, he looks pretty good for a guy who will be 65 on Christmas Day.

Yea, I just can't remember the last time I felt that it was a one-sided refereed game and it was ref'd by Hochuli's crew. If they make ****ty calls they usually at least make ****ty calls both ways. I agree with Vinovich as well.

NOOOOOOOOO!

Get ready for "face guarding" and 15 minute conferences on every flag while dumba$$ figures out what he just saw. The NFL really does have it in for us.

Yeah, I guess I'm just more concerned with general ineptitude, as opposed to intentionally screwing one team over another. Of course regarding the latter, there was a time in my life when I thought people who thought that possible belonged in a loony bin. Now, there had better be room for yours truly in one of those loony bins because I believe it's happened and will happen again. Whether or not the root cause is wanting to screw a team based upon dislike or gambling or something else, I'm not always sure. But, I believe it has happened (see NE/ Denver on 11/29/15.)

If I'm reading those stats right, in his career, Triplette's crews have called 47.5% of penalties against the Home Team with the league average being 48.5%. Slightly better for the home team but not much. The last two years the Home% has gone down to 46% last year and 44% this year - which is much more noticeable but seems more likely to be a small sample size (compared to his 17 total years) than an actual concern.

Don't look at penalties called look at yardage. Away team has 2-3 times the amount of penalty yardage as the home team this year when his crew does a game.
