The turning point of that game last Sat was when they converted 4th and Goal by Heinz Ward's facemask and hold. What a crook. Oh, heard Ward is to have knee surgery this week after getting his knee twisted by a rookie SS he tried to intimidate the entire game. Get em Reggie. Don't even begin to complain about the zebras, Einstein. Your OL was holding all night long, but was called for it only once. And the Holding call against Pitt's Sean Mahan during the first 2-point conversion attempt was pure garbage. Criminal. After allowing everything else up to that point, for the umpire (I ass-u-me) to literally take away 2 points off the scoreboard was nothing short of negligent, short-sighted and irresponsible.

Now, after saying all that, I also have to take Tomlin to task for trying the 2-point conversion again, from 12 yards away. That was ******ed. Pitt's second TD would then, if Tomlin had just kicked the EP after the penalty, have required only an EP to give Pitt a 3-point lead. And of course the play-calling on their penultimate possesion was cowardly. 23 carries for only 38 yards before that series. Running behind a 3rd-string LT was the last play that should have been called, and Tomlin did it twice. Pure chicken-shyte.

Mike Tomlin did not impress as a first-year HC. If he doesn't learn from his coaching-not-to-lose mistakes, then he won't be around as a fourth-year HC.
