so...

A) Do we need another TE?

B) Regardless, is he worth trading for?

c) If so, what would it take to get him?

Over to you the experts

A) BIG NO

B) He is an excellent TE, very "well-rounded" and extremely reliable. One of the most undervalued TE's in NFL.

C) Pointless to think about it because of the answer to A)

The Dolphins have six WR's on their 53 man roster. You don't think they's jump at the chance at a Welker, Megatron or AJ Green at the right price. I suspect BB isn't collecting TE's for the sake of it and that quantity is trumped by quality in his mind.

did you just compare a mediocre tight end to 3 of the best wide receivers in the game right now?

Really?

I believe that we are set for 2012 and 2013 with Gronkowski, Hernandez, and Fells.

Rob Gronkowski
Aaron Hernandez
Daniel Fells
Michael Who-Man
Visanthe Schiancoe (retroactive Injured Reserve)
Jake Ballard (PUP)
Alex Silvestro (Practice Squad)
Brad Herman (Injured Reserve)

Eight is not enough?

The Pats do not need a TE through a trade, so forget Cook.

But don't you get excited thinking about Jake Ballard in a Patriots uniform next year? That would be three excellent pass-catching tight ends, two of whom are big-bodied blockers.

How does a defense cover Ballard and Gronk in tight, a wideout, Hernandez in the slot, and a good running back in short yardage or goal line situations?

I'm not the individual advocating a trade for Cook.

Am I the only one that suspects Belichick is in fact quite capable of signing a ninth versatilely-talented TE?
