James White Retires

James was clutch, he was consistently a vital cog in the offense. He was in the Zone, though, in Super Bowl 51. My pick for game MVP.

Have a healthy and happy retirement, James! Hope you get fitted for a red jacket someday.

Incredible player. Gave me goosebumps reading his retirement message. If pick #127 this year fills anywhere close to the shoes of 2014's pick #130, then the Pats will be in great shape.

Hate to see him go, but damn happy he was here. I have to rank him up there with Bingo in the list of all-time BB type players. No only could he run, catch and block, he was solid on teams and a leader. 3-28 doesn't happen without him, and his performance more than compensated for Gronk being out.

He more than earned the right to retire.

Definitely surpassed Faulk in the air. As an FYI

Faulk played 161 games and got 573 targets
White played 95 games and got 511 targets

2.5M roughly, though won't be surprised if he keeps some of it. I'm not sure why he retired instead of riding it out on IR unless there was some sort of money he'd be keeping.
