Ja'Marr Chase Suspended 1 Game; APPEAL DENIED

Except I disagree. If it was Peyton Manning, there was no way he would have gotten the suspension Brady did nor would they have manipulated the results of the Wells report like they did to make sure it convicted Brady when the results were questionable at best. Manning would have been exonerated. It was all about the Patriots and how everyone in the league think they constantly cheated and get away with it. Brady was a victim of the team's reputation and was stripped of his star player privileges.

In fact, it was any other team, Deflategate would never have happened.
You’re right, when Deflategate happened and became a national story Aaron Rodger’s said what the big deal I tell my guys I like the game balls inflated over the max limit. No one looked into it.

Remember Mark Brunell crying on air because he was so disappointed in Brady.
What a ****ing putz!

Dude this is a Cincinnati/Chase thread. Stop hijacking it and making it about Defaltegate and Spygate. Geez people. Stop ruining the forum.

Mark Brunell crying was the height of the hysteria. A complete putz.

Some posters don't like A Rodgers, but he was one of the rational guys during Deflategate. I bet TB12 likes A Rodgers.

There’s nothing to appeal if he gets 1 game. The camera clearly caught him spitting. Him sticking to his line that he didn’t spit has to be called out by his agent I would think.

What @Steve102 said. You are 100% correct, but unfortunately the NFL front offices aren’t known for their consistency. There’s also the possibility that the NFL won’t be able to hear the union’s appeal prior to the Pats game, so he may wind up being suspended but not this week.
If they suspend him but delay the appeal hearing then the suspension would take him out of the prime time Ravens game instead of the Pats game.

They’re more likely to push to get the appeal heard before the Pats game imo. They’ll want the whole issue to be history by the prime time Ravens game, not a big deal then. Too embarrassing.

Depends on the timeline.

1st step is the NFL announces a fine/suspension

Player then has the opportunity to appeal the ruling within x # of business days. Chase can push it out and make it logistically impossible for the NFL to schedule a hearing and come to a post-appeal hearing ruling before the game.
Yes, but would he rather sit out vs the Patriots at 1pm or the Ravens on SNF?

What is there to appeal? You only appeal stuff you think you can get away with. There is no question to this.
You appeal the severity of the penalty. Try to get fined instead of suspended.

That is stupid and pointless. The NFL already ruled on one player who did it too. This is cut and dry.

It’s the way it is.

Go tilt at windmills if you like. Or yell “get off my lawn”. Whatever trips your trigger. You won’t change it, but if it makes you feel better have fun.

Just don’t go shouting at me. I’m just answering your question “what is there to appeal?”

I was on the side that he'd play against the Pats and they'd suspend him for the next game, you know, just to **** with us.

But their next game being Thanksgiving and having a chance for Burrow vs Lamar is far more important for the $olemn integrity of the game.

Either that, or not suspend him at all...there's still a chance of that.

Immaterial to our chances of winning the game, either way.

And his horrible season continues. He has lost so many millions by refusing a long term deal. He is damaged goods come free agency.
I thought he turned it down because the Bengals low balled him (Hendrickson) w no guaranteed money after this year.

That was one of the craziest TV moments of all time. Like, WHAT was it about that situation that made you break down ? You close to Brady ? Did your kid go astray in the days following the news ?

Yes, but would he rather sit out vs the Patriots at 1pm or the Ravens on SNF?
Is Burrow playing? How far away is he from achieving incentives based on performance?

Those answers also feed into the decision.

one game

It's official. Schefter on NFLN just now. Poor Shifty didn't get to beat the Twitter verse to it, the new **** while he was son air lol
