The problem with the Bengals is even if they scored 45 points on the Pats, I don’t know if the Bengals’ defense could stop the Pats from scoring 50 points on them.

Gonzo jumped 3.5' at the combine. He is 6'1.5" tall with a large wingspan. Gonzo jumps with his arms up and it is about 11' to 12'. Flacco with an AC joint injury is going to throw a ball precisely over Gonzo such that Highins can catch it? Good luck with that.

I don’t know…Carolina, Jets, and Cin have similar DVOA. Pats put up a high of 42 on Carolina. 20’s I think on the other two. Saints are worse than all those teams and pats scored 25 pts.

Higgins is good. And has produced by himself, without Chase. But that was a different time. With Flacco there and with Chase out, we have both Gonzo who is a stud and Davis who is very, very physical.

Higgins is solid, but he's not going to singlehandedly make this game difficult.

Davis is good and fast enough to neutralize Higgins. Gonzo on Higgins is overkill. Chase is the only game changer and he’s gone.

You can’t sleep on Flacco, he is playing with house money and can sling it. Play smart, play mistake free. They can’t hang with us.

You have to remember there has been quite a few games the Pats have been up quite a bit and taken their foot off the gas. Against Carolina, the game was over after the first drive in the third quarter when the Pats went up 35-6. They got very conservative after that and still won 42-13. Against the Jets, the Pats were down Boutte and Rham (both look to be back).

And look at Cincy. They let Chicago score 47 points. The Steelers scored 31 and 34 point (and the latter was with Mason Rudolph at QB for much of the game). Detroit scored 37 and their offense has been inconsistent this season. The Vikes scored 48 points with Carson Wentz. I know some of those scores are defensive scores, but the Pats could do the same thing too. The Bengals turn over the ball a lot. They are fourth in the league in turnovers with 16.

The Pats are seventh in the league in points per game and the only Lions are better than them for teams that have faced the Bengals this season. The Bengals are 18th in PPG.

But with all that, I was being hyperbolic again. I don't see the Bengals scoring 45 points especially since Flacco has a bum shoulder that may not be healed and it looks like Chase will be out. My point is that with the Bengals' defense and the Pats' offense, I think the Pats can outscore the Bengals no matter how many points they put up.

Also, are you talking DVOA or defensive DVOA. Because total DVOA doesn't matter when talking about how many points the Pats will score. And I saw somewhere the Pats have faced the hardest defensive DVOA in the league thus far this season.

I will be surprised if they overturn it.

Their logic in not suspending Carter is that he was ejected approximately 5 seconds into the game, so he was effectively suspended for a full game. Plus he took responsibility for his actions.

On the contrary, Chase did his in the fourth quarter. He received no penalty at all, and got another player ejected, and lied about it.
