This was the worst year of Likely's career after fracturing his foot in training camp. He played in an offense that finished 27th in passing yards per game. He's going to be 26 next year so his contract should cover what are "prime" years for most players.

And despite that, he still posted slightly better numbers than Hooper did in the same role on an offense finished 4th in passing yards per game and Hooper is going to be 32 next year so an age where most guys are in physical decline year over year.

I feel like you posted the numbers to try and imply that we shouldn't sign Likely, but once you apply proper context to the numbers I think you make a great case for why this would be a very solid position to target for a youthful upgrade if the price on Likely is within what they consider fair. Especially when you factor in that Henry is aging himself and TE2 might be TE1 in a year or two.

Good question. Likely will likely replace Hooper if he is signed in the off-season. Hockenson was mentioned a few posts back so I thought I would post Hunter's stats in comparison...because I'm a nice guy despite what you say.

Hockenson is being speculated as a cap casualty in Minny. Could there be an opportunity to buy low?

Hockenson would rocket to the top of my FA wishlist right behind Linderbaum - even despite being made of glass.
