My buddy in St. Louis just heard on the local news that Bruce refused to restructure his contact and has been released. Just an FYI.

We need all the WR to be cut as possible, get some quantity out there.

According to Clayton and Miguel we're about $4M under now. Cutting Poole makes that $5.5M. If we cut Willie, that's $12.5M. Keep Willie around $3M a year, it's still $9.5M under. You can buy lots of Isaac Bruce's for that.

It also helps to make the WR FA market a bit thicker, leaving us with a higher chance to get Givens back.

Seems to me 9.5M just barely gets PATs a team for next year without
any significant FA being brought in.

Consider
* Rookie signings 4M
* 2006 Injury cushion of 1.5M
* resigning some of our lower cost FAs. 3M or so

That's going to eat up most of that 9.5M

If PATs bring back Adam ... how much will that cost?

If the CBA brings the CAP up to 105M or more then PATs can do some
dealing. An other alternative is to restructure contracts.
Sometime back I think Miguel showed how they could free up close to 20M
but a lot of that was not really desireable.

PATs are not hurting but I doubt they will spend big in FA this year
especially if the CAP stays at 94+M
