Everyone in the media seems to be playing this as if it's the AFC champ game or something. Yeah it has meaning but even if the pats lose..we are still getting a home game in the playoffs..just maybe not a 1st round bye

It seems as if this is the Broncos Sb from their point of view (aka their forum and what they are saying)

I mean, it's a big game for them. The best team they've beat are the Jets, which are a pretty streaky team. The Patriots having long been the model of consistency in the NFL. Beating the Pats would be a huge confidence booster to the Broncos.

All this week.

People are comparing Tebow to Brady.

That makes my blood boil.

Yes its their big game of the year.

The one thing the Patriots offer every team in the league is the chance to prove they are real, that they have progressed. We are everyone's super Bowl. We are the measuring stick that all teams want to be measured by.

Look at the Giants in the locker room after they beat us. They were acting like they had won the lottery. If the Broncos win, could we expect anything less from the media and fans?

Can't wait for Sunday to come and go. When this week is over, hopefully, I can just go back to watching a damn football game without all this hype.
I'm old school. I don't need all this hype, just a ball game and a beer.

Did you see the stats EPSN put up? comparing Brady and tewbo this year..they highlight the big one...tebows winning record vs bradys..of course its higher he didn't even start the seasone. So since tebows winning record is better this year..ESPN is trying to spin it as as good if not better than brady..hilarious

If the pats somehow lose..i won't be able to watch TV for at least 2 weeks. Ill be watching The Office and a breaking news thing will scroll across the screen for a week

contrary to popular belief, facing the Patriots is not every team's "Super Bowl".

Whenever a team is on its way up, when they play a team like the pats it is looked at as an extremely significant test game, to see if they are for real. They will bring their A-game, so we will have to as well.

Remember what happened in NO a couple of years ago? That was one of their "test" games, and they killed us. Let's hope BB and company put the hype in its place this weekend. No mercy, Bill!!!

Yeah I don't understand it

On one hand, one of the greatest of all time

on the other, some "qb" running a fancy wildcat with a defense good enough to let him suck for the first 3 quarters

PICK ONE

the Patriots are the best team the Broncos have faced since Tebow took over. Detroit would probably be second best and that is Tebow's last loss. If the Broncos are playoff worthy they have to beat the Patriots on Sunday. This is the superbowl level game for them.

Man that was as embarrassing a loss I had ever seen. I actually thought we had a chance, since Miami had almost beaten them earlier in the year.

Don't know if this thread is serious...you are aware that the Broncos are 7-1 in their last 8 and in first place in the AFC West? That team has just as much reason as the Pats to believe that they will be playing in the REAL SB, so I don't understand this thread. Usually, this is said about a team with nothing to play for (i.e., a team that is out of the hunt for the REAL SB).

I Think that's taking it a little far re: Denver. When a reference is made regarding a game being "a Super Bowl" for a given team....it usually applies to a bad team with a losing record, that has no hope of making playoffs. Denver obviously doesn't fit that description. They are going to make playoffs. They will undoubtedly be playing a very empassioned game against us and are going to have high energy going in. Whether it is false bravado or whatever, these guys psychologically feel like they can't be beaten and will come out very confident. It is the Pats job to knock them back to earth.

Well have you not seen Brady's running the last few games! Wipes the floor with Tebow

Was about to post this until I saw yours. I swear every other week some fan starts a thread asking if we're Team X's 'Super Bowl'.

People compare the QB's to Brady every week.

Sanchez v Brady
Fitzpatrick v Brady
Romo v Brady
Manning v Brady

It's no different this week.

it's a big game between two teams that are leading there Division the pats would like to win so they can get a by and denver would like to win so they can prove that they can beat one of the best teams in the NFL

No, this is not their Super Bowl. This is just another battle in the never ending crusade to stamp out other evil teams. No one battle is any more or less important than any other.

I think it might be easier to argue that every game is the Broncos SB.

No, it's not. Win or lose this weekend, the Broncos are still going to win that division and will therefore still be in the playoffs.

That said, we will definitely be their biggest test of the season, until they play the Steelers or Ravens in the first round of the playoffs.
