It's good to keep reminding ourselves that September is the pre-season of the modern NFL, with an extra game tacked on at the end, fewer mandatory camps, practices and conditioning, and overall creating a lower quality product coming out of the summer.
While this is a great opportunity to steal some wins from better teams that haven't yet gelled (as many of them, like the Patriots, only just played or practiced together for the first time in Week 1) it's also a reminder that it will take Ds a little longer than Os to hit their stride.
If you ask me, nearly all teams played mediocre Week 1, and in Week 2 you saw a lot of offenses explode, taking advantage of the Ds that were still getting their sea legs.
So don't panic. Make the playoffs, and peak then, using well honed depth developed throughout the season to fill the injury void that always happens. It's what separates the good teams from the great teams and Vrabel knows this.
