Is Daniel Snyder selling the Washington Football team?

I’ll offer 114$.

Feds are involved now

Snyder must not like his chances.

I am sure Commander fans and the rest of the NFL owners are champing at the bit for this to happen.

Honestly I feel bad for their fans. Washington was one of the most passionate and loyal fanbases and Snyder basically destroyed that completely and turned them into a circus that is filled with apathy

I'd be disappointed if he sold. I enjoy the sh*tshow too much.

Wow, imagine going from Snyder to Bezos as your owner…

While Snyder is a sack of sh*t and deserves all the flak he as received it was pretty transparent that the constant media blitz against him by the Washington Post recently has been because Bezos (who owns the WP) wants to buy the team. I wonder what Bezos becoming an owner would do to the landscape of the league seeing how he has enough money to buy all 32 franchises at once.

I have said it before - not that anyone ever listens to me - that the interesting part of Bezos owning a team is not his extreme wealth. IMHO, it sets up quite the conflict of interest when the guy who is responsible for Amazon.com, and no doubt continues to hold an awful lot of sway there, owns a team. Amazon is a business partner with the NFL to the tune of about $10 billion in the coming decade.

I think the TNF deal is part of making inroads into ownership but I agree I wonder how that affects the TNF package if a guy who owns a team also owns the platform that will televise/stream 16 games a year. Are we going to see the Commanders get a spike in TNF games?

They still seem passionate and loyal to me. I hate the team but love the fans.

That's a good point about the Commanders getting more TNF games. Why should we fans have to suffer that horror?

That aside....

- he can use his influence as a team owner to have Amazon get a better package (better games) than perhaps they deserve. I could see other broadcasters being perturbed
- he can use his influence with Amazon to have an outsized influence on how the League conducts its business.

Doesn’t leonsis own the other three pro franchises? Would he consider picking up a football team? If he needs any investors, I would gladly put up $10 million to join the group.

There is speculation that John Henry is selling the Liverpool soccer team to make a cash bid on the Commanders.

Who else remembers Goodie's bloviating about integrity and protecting the shield?

It's nice to see him directly named, given he has made it clear he, and he alone, is in charge.

If Alex Jones needs to hand over 1B, what does Goodie lose for bilking god know's how many out cable tv fees (sports fees are the leading cost with nfl at the top)? 15Billion? But then there's the merch issue. 150 billion. Multiply by 10 because NFL and the government will settle for a cool 1.5T. Hell, make it 2.5T because victim blaming by Snyder and Goodell hired exponent to claim whoring out cheerleaders isn't actually whoring them out when it's done on Dan's boat because that butterfly ate a toaster.
