Is Brady dealing with cancer in his family?

Hope she has a full recovery. But you just never know. I've been through a lot of cancer in my family. Took my younger sister.

Excuse me for getting mushy but tomorrow is promised to NO one. Make sure those that matter most to you KNOW you love them. Don't assume it. TELL them. SHOW them. And live every day like its the last day you'll ever see.
It might be. And...GO PATS!!!

That sucks, and confirms a suspicion I think some of us had who were concerned about him.

This was from an entry I did after I heard the interview earlier this season:

Brady seemingly dealing with Cancer Situation – One of the topics that came up Monday night with Brady was the fact the quarterback may be dealing with a personal matter, with Gray mentioning the fact that this is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, while inferring that it’s a subject apparently hitting close to home with the Patriots quarterback.

Gray talked about it with Brady seemingly trying to get him to talk about it, but Brady kept the topic pretty general.

“Tom, on a very serious matter, this is now Breast Cancer Awareness month, the NFL does it’s part, you’ll see a lot of pink this coming month, and I know this is touching home very closely to you now,” said Gray to Brady during his interview with the quarterback Monday night.”

“Yeah, it is,” said Brady. “We’re all touched by it in one form or another. Everybody has different challenging experiences. I’ve dealt with it in my own family and [I’m] dealing with it now. It’s a great cause, great that the NFL recognizes this. Hopefully, it brings a lot of awareness and raises a lot of money to do a lot of great things.”

Brady missed two-straight practices back in August, with the two absences being excused by the team where he told reporters he “had to take care of something”, but the topic wasn’t discussed. The mention by Gray potentially explains why he might have been away from the team, something that is certainly very unusual for a player who is one of the first ones in as well as among the last to leave.

While Brady deflected the topic, Gray must be aware of whatever the situation is that caused him to try discussing it with him, and offered up his well-wishes to Brady and his family.

“Tom, our hearts go out and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and all of those who are suffering with this disease,” said Gray.

Gray then offered up to fans an opportunity to support the cause, telling people who would like more information or would like to contribute, they can log onto NFL.com/pink.

That sucks i wonder if this could be his swan song. He really loves football but we don't know anything behind close doors.

Nope. He talked about how excited he was to play in Mexico next season.

That's not even official yet.

Prayers to his family and his mom. Apparently she is doing better and is getting back to normal.

The article said that was part of dropping deflategate fight too. Which I understand, if his mom is sick she didn't need the extra stress of deflategate BS. And with how the whole thing got some of us so pissed, I csn only imagine how it feels when its your child their talking about.

That just makes my despise Goodell and his cheating owner clique even more!

Unless someone has a legit source on what her illness is, the thread title should be modified to get rid of the c word. This is how rumors start.
Amen

There is no need for any of us to speculate what Tom's mom and family are dealing with.

As a matter of fact, it's kind of sick.

Dealing with Breast Cancer with my wife right now, she will recover, but am amazed at the "Cancer Industrial Complex" that victims of this disease face.. fortunately she kept her care local and we are very impressed with her Doctors and quality of care..

On the journey we ran into a lot of folks with very complicated stories.. one thing that we did find out, unfortunately, is that the quality of care and what they do to treat C has a lot to do with the type of medical insurance you carry..

It is very draining and emotional.. for me, never mind the stress on her.

It's nobody's business, but their own and shouldn't be speculated on.

Tom's mother appears to be in Houston...yay!! (She is posing for a pic with all her grandchildren-she's the one wearing a head scarf/bandana) I'm so happy for Tom that she's there. Prayers for Mrs Brady & hopefully a win for her tomorrow.

All bs aside I hope his mother gets better. Thoughts are with her. I almost lost my mother once so I feel for him. As much as people talk about Brady surprised I haven't heard this elsewhere

This is happening to me and my wife as well. All the best for a full recovery to your wife.

They treated my father like a number. A stand up guy who served thirty years in the USAF and was treated like a number. "So we looked at your records and we would like to get this checked." Two weeks later, "So we checked out the test results and we want to send you down to Boston". Dr. Harvard Professor I'm smaht as **** guy, "So I've looked at your records.....blah blah.." Six months of the run around. That sucked tremendously.

I'm glad to hear your wife is recovering.
