Is AVP tipping his hand on play calls?

I wasn't defending the play calling (in fact, quite the opposite). As for starting Brissett, and given the horrible state of the OL, and liking what I have seen overall (including work ethic, improvement in footwork and mechanics, and the intelligence and mindset that Maye has displayed), sitting him for a year while at least the OL is addressed in 2025 is in the best interest's of Maye and the team in this rebuild. I don't know who had the final say in starting Brissett, nor do I care. I do know he was given over 8 Million Dollars to take the heat and mentor Maye until they can put at least a solid OL behind him. This is a 3 to 4 year rebuild, and that's if every decision (or at least the majority of them) is correct to rebuild this team into a legit playoff and then Super Bowl Contender.

We do and we are an elite Run team top 5 wich is our identity and wich creates play action so the deep passes can be attempted. It's part of the offense However teams play 2 high to prevent the play action. To take teams out of that formation have to be able have a passing attack. Due to the tackles and the limits on the QB those deep passes have been hard to find.
As much as I appreciate the positive attitude, we aren't an elite run team. Won't be until the line is squared away

We are ranked # 4 in the NFL Averaging 177 a game.. we are a inept passing team. The line can run block.. but are piss poor pass blocking.

The RB’s are getting hit way too early but still making good yards. They are the ones making the run game go for the most part.

I understand the difficulties in our position re run/pass... i will just say we have two rushing td's. not good enough to be considered elite imo...

Yes I understand as well. I guess I can say it's week 2 and let's hope that starting tonight the passing game can show something.. when I say elite meaning when nothing is there.. the backs still make yards. When a team is putting up nearly 200 yards rushing.. hard to not say elite IMO.

Got to listen to the hub this morning... Don't often get to listen, so something different from eei...

Touchers show made a point that was interesting... Something I haven't picked up on.. they said whenever the Pats were looking to pass deep, the Seahawks were in a two high safety formation... Like they knew what we were running...

Just a tendency of AVPs play calling? Certain personnel groupings? TT / KO out there signals pushing it deep (or deeper than normal)...Line formations or set ups? Are the tackles cheating off the line a bit?

Anyone pick up on this?

Brissett said it himself right after the game. He felt that the offense was doing something that tipped the Seahawks off.

i didnt see much post game stuff this week... thanks

There were at least 3 playactions or some other type of gimmick play in the first half where the jets knew exactly what was coming

We have a Guy that hasn't called a game at this level, and it shows.
Krafty saving $ so he has a few extra bux for the Tugger... there's obviously a new place, we just haven't heard about it yet

Something isn’t right because AVPs plays are very predictable to start with but last night it looked like the Jests knew EVERY play we were running!

I've made that point before, and it's pertinent to the discussion

I think a lot of it has to do with the limitations of the offense... Hell the head coach said we're going to run... So when a certain package hits the field, it's cover 2 all day long

Biscuit going Deep.

That looked more like one of Can't Newton's passes.

Jets were able to time the snap a little too well
