I think we're at the point where referee grades need to be disclosed. These things need to be analyzed, and playoff assignments (and others) can be referenced to the grading.

At the very least we can know whether refs are being improperly and explicitly influenced by "good grades" following Pats vs Broncos, SF v Ari, Packers vs. Lions, etc.

I believe Transparency is a word Goodell likes to use. It's inconceivable that he uses it correctly

I don't think he can spell it correctly, let alone use it correctly...........

I would really like to see this argument gain traction nationally.

I could care less about grades and the refs should not care either because if they mess up they just get assigned to another game. Or if they really mess up and don't remember what gauge they used to measure footballs and cost the pats $1m and draft picks they even get promoted to a cushy desk job.

Never going to happen, ever. The last thing the NFL wants to do is open this can of worms.

It's not the grades they receive AFTER the game that need to be disclosed, but rather the "points of emphasis" emails that the refs receive BEFORE the game.

Anyone have any friends with ANONYMOUS?

Isn't "idiocy" the correct spelling???..

"The is the most transparent administration in history"
I agree, but only if you mean transparent as in "having thoughts, feelings, or motives that are easily perceived". as in, it seems transparent that the NFL* has it out for the Patriots and is seeking to turn them into a losing franchise for the good of the other 31 teams (though wouldn't it really be the other 15 AFC teams and especially the 3 division teams)?

The points of emphasis is the most blatant form of referee influencing that the NFL has passed off as completely normal and even good for the "integrity of the game". Makes you wonder exactly what the "game" is that requires constant refereeing adjustment to maintain the integrity of.

They'll never do it.
