The first thing I noticed from that chart is that the four longest receptions were to four different players.

When you have that type of depth it makes it difficult for an opposing defense to focus on stopping one player. If they do so the tactic will likely backfire, as that means there will be less attention being paid to other players - and they have shown that they too can get the job done.

It is a pick-your-poison proposition for opposing defenses.

Double team Gronk? Say hello to a big game by Edelman.

Bring defenders up close to try and take away short passes? There goes Hogan or Mitchell deep, or one of the tight ends on a deep seam route.
