I don't really believe in these conspiracy theories.

However, fixing sports games can be illegal. A conspiracy to do something illegal can be a RICO offense. And civil RICO suits can be filed.

I also think that the administrative maltreatment of the Pats is indeed a conspiracy (as opposed to the scheduling stuff and so on), or could be painted as one in court. A case alleging NFL corruption would be brutally expensive to pursue, but it's the one thing I can think of that -- even though it would lose -- would wind up rehabilitating Brady and the Pats in the public eye.

I don't think pursuing the case would make Brady happy, however. It would be a huge distraction, and it wouldn't be financially beneficial either.

Brady is going to spearhead a massive disruption of the league by the players association. that will have teeth and is very dangerous to the league.

No single player or owner can do much, because they contractually gave the jerkoff the power to do about anything he wants within the "club."

Brady's retained their very successful lawyer and all the old wounds are going to be opened up.

NFL is kinda run like socialism and wants equal outcomes. Socialism distributes to everyone equally (except the elite rulers)and tries to punish effort and achievement and treats it as some sort of unfair advantage or it must be cheating. One guy puts in half an effort or just has less ability while another studies and excels or is more talented. The hard worker moves ahead of the not so hard worker and in response the system takes away from the hard working guy and rewards the slacker. Bellichick is stubborn and wont get with the program that this is 32 team entertainment and fans are tired of the Patriots always winning. Why can't Bill just try less hard or take some time off?Rather than demand excellence from their own coaches, the NFL and its fans seek to punish the Patriots.

The Brady/Belichick combo is too much for the NFL to handle. It reminds me of the Russell/Auerbach years.

The best part is that no matter how hard they try to tear down the B&B Pats they just keep on coming.

They can change the rules and the B&B Pats come back more adaptable to them than anyone.

I can't wait to see the next thing they come up with.
