Unless I'm overlooking something, the Pats' likely strategy in case of in-game injury emergency is obvious at almost every position.

  • K -- Allen
  • P -- Gostkowski
  • LS -- Ninkovich
  • OT -- Williams
  • OG -- Fleming or Cannon
  • OC -- Kline?
  • WR -- Slater, plus don't use sets that need more than the number of WRs available.
  • TE -- Fleming as a pure blocker, plus don't use sets that need more than the number or TEs available.
  • RB -- At least 3 are active for any game.
  • QB -- One of the few mysteries. It's tempting to assume Edelman is the #3 QB, but they might also want to use somebody else and let him have Edelman to throw to.
As for defense, the guys are so fungible as to position that I have trouble envisioning a scenario in which they're making a true "emergency" move.
