Meh, I'm reining in my expectations. 15-1 but that loss will be because of the refs.

Boyce will get ROY, though.

Your expectations are a lot lower than mine. 19-0 and we lose 1 preseason game.

We don't want to jump the gun too much but I've felt for a while that letting Welker go for the stronger, taller and faster Amendola was one of the wisest decisions we have made.

I love Welker but I felt we were very one dimensional in our passing game. People have slated Brady's deep ball or awhile but when he had that go-to-guy deep, there was none of it.

The measurables of Dobson wreak of Randy Moss...not saying we'll get that level of play/production but we know he has speed and can make the tough catches....he'll open up that side to our game and what's better, we have the run game we didn't in 2007; thy won't know when it's coming.

Several defensive concerns still remain
* Besides Talib and Dennard, do we have any depth at corner?
* How good really is Dennard and will he be allowed to play?
* The safety position is in flux and it's not clear we're adequate there
* Is there any viable depth at DT behind Wilfy & Kelly?
* Do we have a cover LB? ( My belief Fletcher is the guy with Collins to be developed)
* Who is our other DE besides Jones? And whose the 3rd DE in rotation?

On offense (since I've swallowed the WR kool aid)
* Gronk's timetable and % of Gronkness achieved this year?

* Agree
* He probably will play, but can he take the step?
* Disagree - we're more than adequate there with McCourty, Wilson adn the back-ups.
* Agree again
* Fletcher looked pretty good and COllins has great upside. We're better here.
* Ninkovich. The back-ups are in flux, though.

Keep in mind, though, that our defense may seem middling throughout the year, but lack of points has been killing us in the post-season, not the defense.

This year's defense should be better, if only because a year older.

If Dobson became half of Santan Moss it would be great. I do think he has good upside. Seems to be a player.

When you consider the unbelieveable offseason of drama and setbacks this team has had. It is pretty exciting to find ourselves where we are now. We have an entirely new crew of guys to catch the ball and I'm almost can't sit still I'm so full of anticaption. So if they deliver on the promise they've shown, then it will be a fantastic acheivement, especially for Brady. No QB has ever gone through such a turnover in targets, than he has throughout his career. So if he gets anything close to his normal season stats, then that would be really amazing considering the changes this offseason.

I'm normally one to not bump my own threads, either, but ha!

Because my giddiness is official.
