If this draft is the work of Eliot Wolf’s grading system then

The Krafts are everybody's boss.

Then why do you keep insisting that Wolf was in charge? And you should really pull your head out of your ass, that looks really painful. Unless you like that kind of thing?

Wolf was Jonathan's proxy... his boy.

Which meeting did you learn that in?
Bob Kraft announcing "collaboration" at the owner's meeting after hiring Wolf.

Or what I already told you above... don't make me repeat myself.

Oh, ok. So you are just making **** up.

Bob Kraft also said Belichick had total control the whole time, but I guess you thought it was better to leave that out.

I guess it’s time to leave you to your fantasies about ELIOT WOLF-ALPHA MALE

What did I make up?

Bob created a documentary suggesting he was entirely responsible for the dynasty and Bill was a tourist along for the ride... oh yeah, and he has dementia.

I suppose you think it's coincidence Eilliot was elevated to General Manager the moment Bill left... you must be one of those deep thinkers.

Take your head out now, it's dark and smelly in there.

Wolf was already under contract and Bob hates to waste money.
You think that Wolf and Groh are on Facebook all day and Kraft is footing the bill?

Interesting.

This draft feels good. Function of drafting position or better scouting and evaluation.

They have been hitting the off-season prioritized shopping list with absolute precision.

Next question is can they play. Not all of their FA or draft choices will pan out but you can't argue with the needs and their efforts to address them.

It's really all you can hope for.
Agreed. They will all have the ability to come in, and take the coaching, learn from the vets and apply it to the field. Love The RB pick up and WR picks up.

Agreed, this is Vrabel and Cowdens draft, Wolf was doing what he was told, he probably researched players before the draft.
this is how it is supposed to work.
Wolf implements the strategy, analytics and evaluations.
Vrabel and Cowden choose their players based off those evaluations
this is what Kraft has wanted for a while

this is the first year Wolf's system has been in place. prior to that it was Bill's system. this has been reported quite a bit.
Bill apologists and Wolf haters will dispute, but it's working as supposed to

Wolf in his position needed a draft like this to instill confidence in the fans. I give him credit for last season staying put and picking Drake. The organizational set up was alot more problematic last season then we originally knew. I believe this draft was excellent and he deserves credit as well as Vrabel and his staff. Feeling like we are definitely on the right path to build a contender.

What is the correct term for these little looping video things which are becoming all the rage? I mean, if I'm going to mock them, I ought at least to know what they are called.
Theyre called pictures, which move. Moving pictures. We could shorten it and call them movies

I am team BB through and through but his drafting was piss poor. This year's choices feels good. Of course they are yet to play but the picks makes sense, fit needs and based on perspicacious research and not because someone wants to look smart and find a diamond in a rough.
I feel BB got off in making weird picks with hope that it will pan out. I-Ras, Strange, Thornthon, Harry, Tate, Price, Dobson, Boyce to name a few. The lack of production from this group was disgusting really. He was good but had weakness in selecting college talents unless they fell to him.

Wolf is the subject matter expert who grades and ranks hundreds of players on dozens of datapoints, with the input and assistance of his staff. Vrabel’s not doing that, but he describes the data points he wants so Wolf knows what to base the grades on.

When the two sides collaborate well together, you get results like this weekend. When the HC doesn’t believe in data points (BB), or isn’t experienced enough to engage (Mayo), then you get results like the prior 7-8 years.

So dismissing Wolf’s importance is wrong.

Wolf did recently say before the draft that he had final say, before saying it doesn't make sense for him to force a player on someone. In the end, the scouting department bring their prospects and opinions, and Vrabel and the coaches ultimately make the call.

agree
team work
everyone on the same page

Bill fought it tooth and nail
he had final say right into the unemployment line. he became his own worst enemy
Mayo on the other hand had no clue. clearly in over his head

And this is largely why Bill isn't here. People can **** on Kraft all they want for firing him, but the truth is he had an iron grip on this franchise and it hit a point where the team building aspect stopped working and he was an albatross for the rest of the scouting department doing their job.

Kraft wanted a more collaborative process, this is the fruit of that. A coach and GM with a unifying vision, a GM who is able to set the draft board, a coach who can give input, a clear hierarchy, one guy not stepping over everyone else.

Actually I was responding to Wozzy’s claim that Eliot Wolf made Bill Belichick choose bad players. But I agree with you fully on how it works in this system, I think technically Kraft gave Wolf the power of final say when he hired Nayo, and while he never took it away the way it works in the real world is that Vrabel has final say on players and coaches.

I know, I was just expanding on your first point, LOL, albeit I stayed out of the second part it.
