It was... the disaster started in 2020.. post brady. We've been rebuilding since brady left.
2020 was a cap clearing year, they literally let the entire LB room leave them reacquired them all the following season. They would have sucked in 2020 with Brady.

2021 they were back in the playoffs with a QB Bill didn’t even want. It’s a team game, and it’s hard to win if the owners son wants you gone.

They were. the fake rebuild with a QB that was ruined in 21... we still would have been a 9-10 win team at minimum with brady in 2020. Like his navy sweater... Bill had worn thin in organization it was time for both to move on..

Mac sucks, he wasn’t ruined. The offense around him in 2021 was one of the best in the AFC, he still fell off a cliff.

Brady didn’t want to rebuild at 43 years old. It was time for both sides to move on, something I said before he even decided to leave based on the Patriot’s roster and cap situation.

Tampa was the best situation for him and his wife wanted to live in Florida or was going to divorce him. If he ended up on the Raiders he has no extra ring. It was the best landing spot for him… something I also said before he chose his destination.

Yes. And Josh was never properly replaced. I agree brady was ready to move on. I feel like we could have a 2021 esque offense honestly.. upgrade at QB and coaching.. feels like a much better offense than last few seasons. Bill o'Brien couldn't even repair Mac.

I don’t think Josh was properly replaced because Bill knew by 2022 his time in New England wasn’t going to be long. He wasn’t about to hire his replacement, so he hired loyalists instead.

Brady on the 2021 roster is a great offense, but he was gone long before then. He told Howard Stern he knew he was gone by the end of 2018. He also met with the Dolphins owner on his yacht and the two of them tried to sandbag Brian Flores. His wife clearly wanted to be in Miami.

Good points. Spot on. Didn't the fins have to pay a big tampering fine for that??

To your points BB likely knew the writing was on the wall.. I believe in 2023 guys knew this as well.. guys played hard that season... they know full well what's going on in the organization.

Forfeited their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a third-round pick in 2024, in addition to having their owner, Stephen Ross, suspended until October 17, 2022, and fined $1.5 million.

For sure he did, Jonathan was pressuring him to switch his offense to a West Coast system in 2022 even though Bill didn’t respect it.

I think by 2023 it was a total clusterfck with coaches being hired and told what to do from up above, coaches quitting on the situation midseason, players seeing the dysfunction.

Either way, a head coach has to have a voice in personnel and a vision for what he wants.

Agreed. That's what Vrabel has. Wolf even admitted such that this is Vrabel's vision. Furthermore one has to ask why Bill took on a contract extension in 2023??

Love how team Bill wants us to believe that their hoodied hero accepting a player recommendation from someone, collaboration or whatever you wanna call it, means that they forced him at gunpoint to make the move and he couldn’t have possibly vetoed that recommendation as GM of the team.

Unless it works out of course then it was all Bill.

The motto of Team Bill… “Not his fault because (excuse)” lol
LOL.. as I said.. Bill already gets his load drained every night... I'm sure he doesn't need anymore...

Doesn’t look like there were any problems collaborating this offseason. In fact it’s the best offseason I have ever seen them have.

Bill also fired himself… sounds legit.

Team Bill doesn’t exist. Collaboration has existed since 2020, but you don’t believe it even though Bob and Bill both said it did.

Kraft fired GM Bill. It's not that hard to understand is it?

Bill was the General Manager for all football operations, if he drafted someone it was because he and only he thought it was best, a collaboration can say whatever they want to Bill but nobody forced him to do anything he didn't want to do. Mac Jones was his boy that's why he drafted him. #DefendThatWall #TruthHurts

in Wozzy World Bill only gets credit, no other accountability is allowed. Bill can do no wrong, that’s everyone else’s fault. If it’s a good pick, great job Bill, if it’s a bad pick, ****ing Eliot Wolf.

In the real world however everyone knows that Bill ran the show, and made every decision. He’s a control freak, and everyone knows that. And who could blame him, it brought him 9 Conference Championships and 6 Lombardi’s. The greatest record of any GM/Coach in history. And he deserves all the credit in the world for those accomplishments. However it also means that he has to suck it up and take the blame for his mistakes, no matter what his delusional sycophants say, or how hard they cry. Bill did a lousy job after Brady left. He put together ****ty teams, drafted poorly, and ultimately failed. And those are just the cold hard facts. He’s the greatest GM/Coach in history, but his time is over, and the Vrabel era has begun. It’s time to move on.
