If and when Cam Newton is named starter and captain, you will......

Cam will be the starter and get a real LEGIT opportunity with an actual team of NFL players at his disposal, pansy ass Pat's fans will continue to cry (music to my ears), and there is not a single thing any of you can do about it. Well except continuing to cry of course!

And man when it's half way through the season and Cam has the Patriots in contention for the division I better not see any of you bandwagon trash cans trying to climb aboard. You don't get to have fun this season. Sit on the sidelines with your little boy Mac while the grown ass men handle business. Dont let me stop yall from crying though, carry on Lmao! Life is good!
Says the guy who fears the numeral 1. That's what the period after the "no" turns your screen name into - the phobia of a number.

I took his screen name as fear #1, as in the washed up quarterback who wears the #1.

Yes, Fear no.1, we do fear #1 very much. We fear the Stevie Wonder field vision and those touch passes to the RB's where it appears he is wearing oven mits while throwing the ball. Very scary stuff

Not sure I understand all the Cam hatred. He had a very good training camp and preseason and has been an outstanding team mate and leader from all I can hear. He has not complained, whined or *******ed about anything. Yes he had a bad year last year, but there were major extenuating circumstances.
It almost seems like some on this board are hoping he will suck.
Give the guy a chance with a full training camp and preseason under his belt. If he sucks after 4 or 5 games, OK he is probably done...

The hate is irrational at this point.

You are not wrong.

A lot of the Cam hate is an overreaction to those vocal few who have taken up residence inside Cam's sphincter. It's tough hearing the delusional bullshard that Cam is a quality QB, especially when we have what looks like an NFL ready QB in the 1st round. He has already shown an understanding of the Brady/Patriots offense that Cam will never show. If the Patriots were a garbage team with a garbage OL, the argument to sit Mac would have some merit. The Patriots are neither.

If we did not draft Mac, and Hoyer and Stidham were the options, I would be holding out hope that last year's bad situations (which some are legit) were the only reasons Cam looked like one of the worst QB's in the league. I wouldn't believe it, but I would be hoping.

We have the future QB. Time to develop him now, not year 2 or even year 1.5.

I am not 100% that Cam will be named the starter...more like 70%. If he is the starter, it means Belichick thinks he gives us the best chance to beat the Fish @ Gillette in week 1. So, I'll be getting a footlong sub for week 1.....

In BB, I trust!

Last year burned a hole in my brain, no need to see more of that.

The posturing antics remind me of a little kid, look at me, arent we having fun
"Just happy to be here" attitude
look at the cool hat I spent all day shopping for!

It communicates "not serious" to me.

Had similar reaction to Rodgers comments this week, about GB attitude
of “championship or disappointment”
"important that perspective is to focus on this season and
enjoy the most out of this season, because there are a lot of unknowns.”

Message to GB? Prepare for Pain. Prepare To Lose.

Winning is fun
Losing is not fun

Okay now, this stupid song just popped in my head:

I don’t know why some people hate Cam so much. I know there’s some people who dislike him for his poor play last year, some don’t like him due to his individuality, and I suspect some don’t like him for other reasons.

I didn’t want him back due to his subpar play, but now that he’s back, and if he’s the starting QB, I will root for him just like I’ve rooted for every Patriot’s QB since 1975. IF he’s the starting QB, I am rooting for him to have the best year of his career, and get us back into the playoffs. Seems like some people are actively rooting for him to fail, which I find bizarre.

People may get their wish, he may go down in flames, and luckily we have a great backup plan.

because people see more (Patriots) potential in Mac and don't want him wasting his time watching last years Cam out there throwing INTs and fumbling around

if he perfoms like last year, don't expect patient with him, if he is the starter he has to perform above average not bottom of NFL, it has only to do with his poor performance last year, there are no excuses this year, like ZERO excuses, if you play you better perform or get

If newton is named the starter, we bet heavily on the opponent and with all the money we make off those bets, we purchase a bunch of
1.) hospital stock as newton is going to throw at least 2 hospital balls per game!
2.) pain killer stock as all of the New England coaching staff and fans are going to be downing painkillers by the millions!
3.) Netflix stock as an entire region of the country will be streaming tv rather than watch a newton led patriots team!

We know it's you Cam!

Well... I'd do the same if Mac were named the starter, too. What's the phrase? Hope Springs Eternal.

I don't do this often, if ever. But you need to **** off and leave this place. You do not belong here!

Maybe go start a Cam Newton forum somewhere. Maybe you can find some nudes of him and imagine yourself...you can fill in the blank.

Am I wrong in thinking that the longer it takes for Bill to announce the starter the more likely it will be Mac Jones?
