Hey kids, just wanted to let everyone know that back in agust when work wouldnt let me have sundays off, that I quit...my notice said

" The patriots are going undefeated this year, and I will watch every single game"

they didnt like it and told me not to come back

dont worry, it was a crappy part time job anyway.

Hey while i admire your loyalty too the team i think i might have bought a VCR it would have been a lot more cost effective, especially come the 2nd week in FEB.

Next time, tell them it's due to religious reasons, and you'll never have to work ANY Sunday if you're in the right kind of state.

Watching the Patriots is a religious experience, so... you wouldn't even be lying!!!!

You got your money's worth!

If this is true, good instincts, but you are crazy!

I just hope that you weren't a priest, that wouldn't be good!

LMAO! Patriots are too evil to have priests for fans anyways.

I've quit many a job for less.

Your boss prolly laughed you off as a loon. I wonder if he remembered you now?

Fine decision. One that now must become tradition.

Actually, all three Super Bowl wins have coincided with downturns in my career.

During SB36, my company had been bought out and was in the midst of preparations for shuttering the factory. Final day was early April and I was out of work (IT) until September when I picked up some contract work.

That contract position ended 19 months later due to new management, just prior to SB38. This time I was out of work until July when I picked up another contract position that didn't pay nearly as well.

That ended 7 months later, just prior to SB39. Resorted to selling cars around March or April, until I finally landed a permanent position in July. That company was acquired a year later and I bailed when I found another permanent position.

And now the Pats are undefeated and looking for a 4th Super Bowl win.

Don't know whether to dance or cry.

Don't worry, there are many more crappy part-time jobs out there, and there are many full-time crappy jobs out there as well! ;)

On the subject of personal stuff during Pats SB runs, I had an ex move out during their 1st run in '01 and I had one move out this season, which somehow feels like a "1st" run in many respects. So if I'm single during the playoffs, expect great things ;)

BTW I was involved during one SB so I won't need to go single the rest of my life for the Pats to win :D
