very simple. no protection by the country boys on the oline and no deep threat WR.

- The problem is Woodhead at RB when BJGE was decent.
- The panic hike throws from Brady
- Gaining 6-7 yards on one running play and then throw yourself into punting.
- The protection issues against the blitz
- Extremely conservative play calling.

The biggest problem with trying to go back to the 2001-2004 offense is that Bill O'Brien is calling the plays now, NOT Charlie Weiss.

Doesn't look good, but it IS just the first game still and it's going to take time adjusting to a new offense. Definitely doesn't help that we're going against an elite defense.

I predicted after the Moss trade that this game could look alot like the Denver game in early '06 or even the WC game and it hasn't really been THAT bad but it's been pretty ugly. Will just take some time, have patience.
