How much longer do you think Gronk has left?

I think Gronk might have as little as two elite seasons left. I'm sure he could be a good to great player longer than that, due to his ball skills and intelligence.

The problem is his speed. He doesn't get the separation against linebackers like he did in his first 2-3 seasons. Beetween the knee, the back, and the ankle, alot of his speed has been taken from him.

Probably won't be a popular opinion on this site but the tape doesn't lie.

Disagree completely, he is dominant when he's on the field. I have seen no indication that he is anything less than a beast when he is out there.

What tape? Show us the tape. I swear you are making this up.

You MIGHT have a case at the beginning of the 2014 season when Gronk himself said he was working his way back from ACL surgery but at the Cincy game he decided to let it loose. Since then there has been zero indication that he does not get separation from linebackers like he used to.

Gronk is just trying to make sure he has money and a living after football. He has always tried to have multiple pots in the fire. I seriously don't think he plans to retire anytime soon especially since he has the potential to be the greatest TE in NFL history if he plays another 5-10 years.

Barring catastrophe, Gronk will be playing for a while and at a pretty damned high level. Even if he slows down in the next 4-5 years, his catch radius, power, blocking ability and intelligence will make him a force on the field.

Why would I make that up? Why is it so hard to believe that Gronk is more athletic and faster at 21-22 than he is at 27? That's before you factor in the injuries. I didn't say he can't get open or isn't effective. I just said his speed has regressed.

Why would I make something like that up? He's still a dominant plat

You said he can't get seperation on LBs.

What video evidence do you have on this?

Not that I think Gronk will retire this or next, but I heard Gronk was already considering life after football. Do you think Gronk will pull a Megatron and retire still in his prime?

He's considering life after football because he's smart. So is Brady and he might play longer than anyone has. It's the stupid ones who never consider real life, who have short careers.

I'm agreeing with a poster here that you might get back under that bridge.

A practice squad poster with a practice squad post.

Here, look at how slow he is. Most 6'7 265 tight ends are much quicker than this.

He looked a little sluggish on that 6th touchdown. He only beat the LB by 2 steps instead of his typical 2.3 steps.

When did I say he can't get open against linebackers? I never said that. Im just speaking the truth when I say he was faster and more athletic 5 years ago. The guy used to take a flat route and outrun entire defenses with consistancy. He's still an all world player.

I said that you said that he doesn't get separation vs LBs. What you said exactly word for word is below. As you have seen from the 234 highlights from the last 2 years he gets plenty of separation vs LBs. You also have zero evidence that he gets less separation now than in 2011

That rant was great.

Thing is...Gronk is walking in that door.

But I'll Play. He's 27, so 10 years he'll be 37. If he's healthy, I give him another 5-7 years after that.
