How many players will the Patriots select?

We have a total of 11 picks right now. Picks 205 & 206 can't be traded.

So how many players will the Patriots actually take next weekend.

I did this poll on the Draft Forum about a month ago. I think it is right to do it agian on the main football forum because the draft is now only 6 days away.

I say that we wil trade up and down but when it is all over we willhave selected a total of 9 players in this draft.

I was going to go with 6 but figured they couldnt move up or down for whatever reason and only chose 7. With a couple of picks in next years draft added. 7 players is still a very good amount of rookies that have to try and make the team.

I said 8. They can't trade their later compensation picks, so that's a bit of a limit on how many guys they will/won't take.

I predict two trades to grab guys they want in this draft and one trade to gain better positoin in 2007 -for a total of 8 picks this year

I think that its going to be both interesting and frustrating to us keeping track of every pick. They are going to move up and down the board like a yoyo. No napping in this draft.

Last year, I got totally frustrated. This year, I've prepared myself not to anticipate that they will pick where they are suppose to pick.

I'm in JoeSixPats camp on this one 8! 2 6th rounders can't be traded, we gotta use em, a couple will be traded to improve next year and a few will used to move up or down this year...... 8 is the magic number:rocker:

I really don't think that we need to trade for 2007 picks- we will have enough. We should get 4 comps next year and two of those should be 3rd or 4th rounders.
