Elway `retired on top` because he no longer was on top, not that he ever was, and was being carried by a running game. He was done. Not done the year after, or the year after that. He was done the year before.
I am highly skeptical that TB can carry the team for 4 more years. I'd love to see it though..
why does he have to carry a team? we have a great team. and we can get better.
I understand the sentiment of wanting to go out on top. But Brady is the ultimate competitor.... The Elway story is nice, but what about the 3-peat?
I think maybe he will hang it up after completing the 5-peat.
No Brady = no win against Baltimore.
No Brady = no win against Seattle.
Anyone could beat the lowly Colts (Except Peyton and the Broncos)
Why we're once again talking about how soon the Superbowl MVP will be gone is beyond me.
Mods should start closing these threads, honestly. Sick and Effing tired of them
carrying a team is taking a pathetic lottery team to a playoff. we are still a 'good' team without brady. we are a great one with brady.
Yup, we are a great team, a great team that got carried past a 14 point deficit against Baltimore by Tom Brady, and again past a 4th quarter, 10 point deficit against the best defense in the football.
I expect the Buffalo Bills to be two of our three hardest games next season next to Dallas. Without Brady, we might stop winning the AFC East real quick.
There's lots of NFL teams that would go from good to great with a Tom Brady, and one that would go from great to "holy **** this sucks" without him
he was good, but not great. but he could've played 3-4 more years as a good game manager. he was borderline top 10-12 QB when he retired. so he wasn't done.
