16-0 means nothing if you get bumped in the playoffs. Are they good? sure. But being 'good' is also a function of your schedule. And their schedule is not the toughest by any stretch.
Having said that, at 16-0, 15-1, or even 14-2, they will HFA throughout. That is a great advantage to have when the rest of the NFC is average at best. The only teams that can give them fits are Arizona, *maybe* Seattle (depending on the day they're having), and maybe the Giants, but I just cant see either one of those teams beating them at Carolina.
As things stand right now, Carolina with HFA is the NFC's single clear favorite to make it to the Superbowl (I just hope they don't get there 18-0.... Re: Shula's son).
IF we make it to the Superbowl, with Edeleman back, and the rest of the roster is healthy, or as close to healthy as possible, Carolina on a neutral field does not scare me one bit. Certainly not as much as Seattle scared me last year. Seattle's defense from last year would do doughnuts around this Carolina D. If we have a healthy offense with Edelman back, I see us putting the kibosh on these kitties...
