HOU @ NE divisional PREGAME thread

The players, especially with a team coached by BB, have zero interest in what the media or fans think of the game. It's their job to go out and get it done. Predictions mean less than nothing, just a way for sportscasters and the media to get viewers and readers. I trust the Pats. They're a good team, they're at home and they're very well coached. We have no control over the outcome, but I've got a lot of reasons to be confident in this group . Enjoy the game and go Pats!

I like your confidence and welcome to the messageboard.

FYI: the team with the best overall defense has been in the last three Superbowls, and won twice.

The Texans have the highest rated team defense (I know, I know, ypg allowed isn't that important. Or is it?)

Great focus . on Team work

I'd like to instill some thread rules for the game thread.

No ripping on the D until it gives up more than 10points in the first half or 17 in the whole.
No ripping on Ryan until he gives up a big play
No complaining about drops unless a player drops 2 or we have 4 in the game.
No complaining about the play calling as long as the team is on pace to cover after the first quarter

Just some ideas.
Might just be the best post of the year.

FYI: the team with the best overall defense has been in the last three Superbowls, and won twice.

The Texans have the highest rated team defense (I know, I know, ypg allowed isn't that important. Or is it?)

Problem with that stat is it ignores the fact that 2 of out those 3 times that defense was also the #1 scoring defense, Seattle in '13 and '14

Going to lock thread now as the official Game Day thread is up!!!!

I get the nerves and all, but for the Texans to win, it would essentially be the biggest upset, maybe ever, in football and sports history.

On the road, in the cold, not in a dome, against Brady, Belichick and the REAL #1 defense in football.

If the Pats can't beat Houston, it will have to taken an absolute perfect performance from the Texans and EVERYTHING would have to go wrong for the Pats.
