HOU @ NE divisional PREGAME thread

Hopefully he's a pimp tonight and makes more than one Texan his Valentine

I wonder how high Valentine would have gone in the draft if he put in the effort the reports say were lacking.

Lewis everywhere. Split wide, running, slipping through defenders...

And for those who have more time to kill ..

(open and list through 4 pages of schemes)

Thanks to @long distance again for posting the pre game thread to get everyone ready!!! Only 6 more hours and really getting excited for our playoff game!!!

Im ok with both him and Deion so long as they arent talking to other black guys exclusively. That's when it gets so bad that it actually sounds like a totally different language to me (not kidding).

I dont think that's racist to say is it? If so, it's not meant to be. Im just expressing the difficulty for me to understand what theyre saying personally. Could just be me. Who knows?

Sort of the same thing goes on when you have multiple NASCAR diehards in one room. Doesn't really depend on race lmao.

The only point I'd say is to not refer to it as "bad" lol. It's just a lingo thing and if you don't understand it, so be it. No issue in that.

I have a feeling you didn't mean it was a "bad" way to talk, but someone who chooses to express themselves that way may, just like you trying to understand their dialect, misunderstand where you're coming from and misconstrue it! Not trying to step on toes here, I just thought I'd offer some conversation.

Ahhh yess, the Saturday musings of different dialects on divisional day.

I am so ready for this game. I'd take a nap to rest up, but I'm too agitated to rest. Sigh.

A reminder from Chatham . for those who missed it
or do wanna be reminded..

But he does own the 100% playoff win record

Doesn't Brady have more post season wins than most franchises? I thought I remember seeing that insane stat somewhere.

Regardless, Ben only needs 3 more losses and TEN wins to catch up! Hopefully 11 after tonight!

This game cannot come soon enough. The wait has felt interminable, but for some odd reason I'm calming down today. I felt this exact way before both the Jets & Phins' games -nervous "the teams are different now" all that stuff..... Let us recall how both those turned out.
Also, so far every team I've picked to win in the playoffs has done so...I feel good.
In the immortal words of Tom Brady, LETS GOOOOO!!

1.15 am kick off here, and as I'm training for the London Marathon, no beer...this will really, really drag
Enjoy the game and the race eventually. its a great one.

Saw this stat on NFLN. Last 2 two times 2 QBs who's QBR's differ by more than 40 points, the QB with the lower rating has won. . These networks make my game day miserable.

I'll have one in your honor my good sir.

Seems to me some great coach said,"Stats are for losers". I don't watch any pregame shows anymore. You can find a stat for anything.

Some stats from Reiss article .. to lift you up:

5. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, this will be the fifth playoff game in the Super Bowl era to feature the NFL’s No. 1 scoring defense (Patriots) against the No. 1 total defense (Texans). The team that led the league in scoring defense has won each of the previous four matchups.
8. Tom Brady has faced a Romeo Crennel-coached defense three times during Crennel’s career as a head coach or defensive coordinator. Brady has won all three games with seven touchdowns and no interceptions.
9. The Patriots had just 11 turnovers this season, tied with the Falcons for the fewest in the NFL. The Patriots are 137-13 in the regular season under Bill Belichick when they win the turnover differential.
10. Including postseason, no player has rushed for 90 or more yards against the Patriots in their last 23 games. The last was Denver’s C.J. Anderson with 113 yards in Week 12 last season.

Will Patriots blitz Brock Osweiler this time around?
