This is nothing compared to the (very short) Rod Rust era. One bad game. The team has some weaknesses, but there isn't a dominant looking team this season. Buffalo and the Giants both looked very shaky against bad teams, but won, Indy is struggling, the Chargers are in a hole... really, the only team that looks like it could turn into something special is Denver, and I don't like their defense at all. This team is still on track for 10 wins, if the defense can put it together week to week.

No worries, just being a PITA right now as I am pissed with the play of the pats and seem to be taking out my aggression here..
Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as an ass

I think I am being one, too. We're all a little irritable today.

Pete Carroll years were fun...no D with lots of O.
Try cheering for Tom Hodson and Hugh Millen. It was like a box of rotten chocolates.

Vincent Brisby and Lamont Warren don't really scream "lots of O" to me.

Just looking over the 99 roster...Max Lane...now THERE is a bad O Lineman.

I just found this board and I'm planning to stick around. I've been a Pats fan as long as I can remember, even in college football central TN. I watch every game and if I can't watch it, I try to listen to it on the radio. I'd rather see them win, but I don't think it's the end of the world to lose a game or two.

When I go to Pats games, it's with my dad's season tickets. Maybe he'll get moved closer to the field!

I'm not going anywhere, been a fan since the late 1960's, have seen some brutal teams during the past 40 or so years, especially both of those 1-15 teams.

That said, don't know how many more games I can watch that play out like the train wreck I witnessed today; getting blown out by the losers of 17 of their last 18 games is pretty pathetic.

Well said....I think I will do like I did in the Rod Rust....Pete Carroll eras....and take this team a lot less seriously.....will watch every game.....but if it turns into an embarrassing train wreck (great words by you)......just walk away for that week.....my feeling is that if the players don't care to show up and play all game......why watch this kind of lack of heart for 4 quarters.......today was right up there with the most embarrassing losses!

Nah, the most embarassing losses I remember was Pats/Jets at the Meadowlands in 98 and in Detroit on Thanksgiving 99. You have never seen 53 guys who care less than those games right there.

I'm glad it happened because it led us to BB, but how Pete Carroll lasted into his 3rd season here is beyond me.

it is a long yr, but we knew this team was going to struggle once 12 went down for the yr, just have to make adjustments and move forward..

I'm enjoying the extra room on the ole band wagon, plus I set a new record for single day additions to the ignore list! Every thread just got cut in half, it's beautiful!

This gets rid of the few bandwagoners that hung on after Brady got hurt. Don't break your ankle jumping off!

As for me, I'll still be around. I watched the Pete Carroll years...this has nothing on that.
I think I need a break from these poopie heads who are panicking.

I remember how we "qualified" to draft guys like Bledsoe, Fryar, Sims, etc. The spoiled biatches who lose it when the Past lose their first game since Dec 2006 simply do not understand the concept of "any given Sunday" or upsets or anything like that.

Witness the guy who claims that because we lost to the Dolphins, we will lose to the Cardinals because the Cards beat the Dolphins. Unbelievable.

There was this article about the worst fans in the NFL, and Pats fans were like the fourth worst? If the author had logged in here, he would have (rightfully) listed us as the absolute worst fans in the world.

Booing a team that won 21 straight games is simply the worst fan behavior imaginable. (Yes, dearies, they have the right to boo. I'm not disputing the right. Only that exercising that right is the domain of terrible fans.)

I thought the trolls that came here were bad. They have nothing on some of the unrealistic bandwaggoners here who are crying that we had a bad game.

Who cares about the bandwagons... Isn't there something better to talk about then bandwagons... I believe i saw about 85% of the crowd booin... One lose people... Whoever wants to get b**ched slapped back to reality, i'll be more then happy to do it... It's football, any given sunday, and guess wat, we didn't give yesterday... All we can do is, get back up from our loss and rally behind these guys that gave us 3 superbowl rings... if we don't make it this year, who cares, as long as they gave me everything they had every week, im happy... those gloatin, don't get it twisted, talk ya smack and keep hatin cause one of ur problems went away only for a season...
