Not sure if it's accurate but in terms of rankings, it seems OK to me as they've all done a decent job.

For Chucky to have that crap Raiduhs team 5-4 is good coaching.

Always wonder who leaks BBs salary. His agent I'm sure...

That's interesting. Of course, it begs the question, should TB12 be the highest paid QB in the league?

That Raiders team isn’t crap anymore. They’re just young. Their rookie class is producing, though. They’re still a ways off from competing for the AFC, but they’ll be a pain in the ass for the Queefs in short order.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bill has some sort of clause in his contract that he remains the highest paid coach in the league.

IMO...no. because the current Tom Brady is not a top 5 QB, maybe even top 10. His brain makes him dangerous still but athletically he isn't what he once was, as NO ONE should expect at his age. I also wonder sometimes if a younger, more athletic QB who wasn't as particular about the receivers would be less likely to outright bail on some of the plays Tom has this year. This isn't a bash on TB12...love the GOAT. But more a musing of is it really best for the team for him to be the guy in 2020 vs taking away from developing the next guy despite some stumbles which will come from whomever that guy is.

    I see you are a stats-centric fan.

Tom is on a pace for..
    409 comp 631att 64.8 comp % 4,508yds 7.1YPC 25TD 9INT 93.1QB Rating

Pats are also #1 in rushing TDs

Hes also on pace for 15 wins and playing in a Super Bowl.

To say hes not in the top 5 is laughable.

Did you watch the Baltimore, Bill's, or even Browns games? When we played moderately competent defenses? It was rough. My point isn't that it's TB12's fault, but that his current physical ability requires a very good O-line, receivers who will beat press AND always be in the exact spot he wants them, as well ad a functional running game. We don't currently have any of those things and it shows with him throwing the ball away at a record clip. Let's not anoint this team at 8-1 when they didn't play anyone for 5 of those games. Defense is very good...offense is below par. Is it enough? It might be. Is Tom today a top 5 QB talent? I don't believe he is.

Yes- I did watch those games and how TB performed.

You could easily argue with the performance of the line, WR, TE and RB units the NEP would be 5-4 w/o Tom.

Those stats aren't overly impressive anymore. 16 QBs have a higher rating. I would still have TB in the top 10 given what he's had to work with, and hopefully he'll only return to closer to usual form as we get healthier on O.

I'd be very surprised if BB has that kind of a deal. I doubt it would fit well with players that he's asking to make a financial sacrifice.

    Exactly my point.

Measuring the greatness of Tom Brady has never been about stats.

I totally respect your response which is why I was just generally interested into what other people on here thought instead of the moronic talking heads that keep bringing up Brady's contract. I believe BB should be the highest paid coach based on what he has built and continues to sustain as an organization. When it comes Brady, I personally believe that while not the highest statistically, he should be paid if he demands it, based on what he has helped sustain as well. This system is built around Brady and has continually adapted and sometimes modified his game to meet the needs of his offense. He has taken less, which is his choice, so that BB could afford to bring in other talent. I'm sure there's a lot that has gone on behind the scenes that we'll never be privy too. I often wondered if the coaches salary should be tied to the salary cap as well?

I asked it in another response, but I've often wondered why the idea of tying the head coaches salary to the cap hasn't been considered before.

He's leading the league in completions, I know that stat alone doesn't prove anything but I think comparing him to peak TB and current TB may be clouding your judgement. He's still top 5 no matter what Chris Simms says.

Hence why his salary is never made public.

Being paid the most and asking to be paid the most are two different things. I doubt that's the way that Belichick would do things.
