Herald: Welker could still be on PUP list

I hope it isn't true

But at the top it links to a story that says they reckon Spikes will be first 2nd rounder to sign; so chances are it is wrong

Remember people, the training camp PUP list is temporary and easily rescinded. Were Welker to start off on this list I would not be surprised and actually expect it, but it does NOT necessarily mean that he will be on PUP week one of the season.

Agreed. To take a common phrase from another aspect of football, which applies here- It's not how you start it's how you finish.

Not a bad thing if he's on PUP. He might need more recovery time. Better having him late in the season at 100% then getting injured again because they rushed it.

tate, holt, moss, edelmen, new guy 2nd rounder, they have a lot of guys to get experience.

No worries.

Hell they can put him on the PUP list to look at a few extra players then when they know who will work or not pull him off it

This makes no sense. Him being on active PUP (preseason) does not affect their ability to look at other players. He still would count as one of the 80 roster spots.

Actually I prefer this... I would rather they are careful with him and ensure he's completely healed before he gets back. It's November-January that really matters.
