Henry McKenna: Step inside Bill Belichick’s office: Stories of patriots coach's open door

Open except to his starting QB apparently...
If you read the article, he has an extensive meeting with his starting qb every Tuesday which Cassell described in detail, and there are numerous references that the door is open to everyone, always.

This INSIDE article describing how Belichick actually operates is starkly different than what all the experts here keep telling us they know belichick is like.

This was always known. It was shown in his A Football Life.

Well THIS article won't play well here. Probably be about 2 pages. However if you start a thread with the title "Bellichick is an ***hole" it will get to 20 pages in a day.
No because HERE Belichick is an aloof jerk who doesn’t want to hear what anyone has to say, operates to feed his ego, is only concerned with proving he is the smartest guy in the room, regular shuts out anyone who may want to offer an opinion, and as one poster is on a mission of implying, is a racist.

hmmm.... coach finishes third season sans Brady, misses playoffs for 2/3 years, his team struggles to a 25-26 record, including an embarrassing playoff loss....and now we have a propaganda piece from "Henry McKenna"...who says Belichick is an *******, racist, etc?
He's just not the great coach that many here think he is. You are what your record says you are, once said a great football coach....and Belichick is a sub .500 coach since he forced Brady out of town. Facts are facts and facts are Bill Belichick has failed more than he has succeeded in the last three seasons

Great article, always nice to see the softer side of Bill.
Most players that have played for him have had only positive things about him. The 1 % that have had issues with him were the players that didn't like the 'Patriot way' and wanted some one who coddled them.

Well, it's always been known ... no point in writing or posting a new article about it.

Or am I making too much of your comment?

lol - too much; was just saying not a surprise

Not a surprise to most of us. The BB haters are a vocal minority, but I feel the vast majority recognize that we've got the GOAT coach. It may not matter as much as having GOAT players, but it's not nothing either...far from it.

We're still lucky.

Put Arians in charge of this team and we'd be 0-18

Yeah, they'd give us an extra loss. It'd be that bad.

Still waiting for the film to back up your argument. Articles don't mean anything. Show us the tape.

Shh!! Don't tell Bertram, Felger of the rest of the Sportstalk radio crap stirrers about this article. They will search high and low for a naysayer to bolster their BB nontroversy of the day...

Lol, I don't know about that. BA has a very respectable .624 winning % as HC (#16 all time for HCs w/ >100 games) w/ a .667% in the playoffs, a SB and 2-time COY awards. Players and the media love him.

Personality wise he's just the polar opposite of BB so Pats fans dislike him for some reason (maybe because he won a SB w/ Brady?).

Matt Cassel went 10-5 in 2008.
True, he didn’t start the first game. But the Pats didn’t lose 6 games that year, only 5. They were one of the few teams with 11 wins, that missed the playoffs.
