Hello ALL: Are the Colts a good bet to repeat as SuperBowl Champions?

Manning getting hurt would be the worse case scenario, although I am very excited to see how Sorgi plays this pre-season. He seems to be getting better and better. Don't laugh as he does have a great teacher each day in you know who. We have a great Offensive line and they strive to protect Manning with all they have. We'll be as good there as any year in 07/08. These fellas take pride in keeping the bread and butter safe.

How about this fella? I think most of you know him.

Adam Vinatieri

Kicker

12th NFL season

6-0, 202

South Dakota State

Acquired: Unrestricted Free Agent, 2006

Vinatieri, who spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the New England Patriots, joined the Colts as an unrestricted free agent last off-season. . . . He became one of the NFL’s top free-agent acquisitions last season, and won his fourth Super Bowl ring. . . . He appeared in 13 games in his first season with the Colts, making 25 of 28 field goals and 38-38 extra points for 113 points. . . . That was his 11th consecutive 100-point season. . . . He also appeared in four postseason games and made 14 of 15 field goals and seven of seven extra points. . . . He set an NFL single post-season record with 49 points.

I am getting real excited about this season. We're just days away from some action.

^^ You're bordering the line between friendly and troll with that post. Basically that was just bragging and trying to shove it in our face that he won a fourth SB.

And its not like we're jealous? Gost is pretty damn good and he didnt lose us our shot at the SB. He got us to the AFCCG.

it will shoved back in his face when long after AV retires, people will always remember what he accomplished in NE. His time with Indy will be a mere footnote!

Fellas, I have none, No, not one bit of intention concerning rubbing anything in. You are probably used to that but not with me. I am a football fan. I just happen to like Indy and the Pats a little better than most because I respect their players and coaches on both teams. I will be gladly be posting some hoooras as the Patriots do well in their 2007/08 season. And I would not wager Indy to beat NE at any time barring serious injury to one team or the other.

And I agree. I am VERY jealous of your team and what they have accomplished. I don't know how any other football fan could not be jealous.

You just won the Superbowl. If I was a Colts fan and beat the Pats 3 straight times and won the SB, I wouldnt be jealous.

Where does that leave an almost 20 year old Dolphins fan? haha

So we sometimes will differ in opinion. That is Great. It Makes for great journalism certainly and it is great discussion for this board.

I understand 98% of any/every scenario you have ever seen on a forum. We are doing good here. This is what the board is for and why we keep coming back. So we can discuss like gentlemen the world of NFL football and anything to do with it.

Thank all of you for your participating in the discussion.

I encourage and appreciate that.

I can try and do that no problem my friend(s). I did serve in the corps so it sometimes just rolls of the tongue. I'll work on that here.

I will be going away this weekend and not return until the next weekend so don't think I am running off on you guys. I will return and hopefully I will get that roster figured out with some opinions on just how decent the Colt defense can be this year. I am unsure at this time but I am cautiously optimistic.

I am headed into the valley so I am not so sure if I will have good internet reception or not.

Have a great night, weekend and week no matter me.

This is the best colts fan ever. period.

Good morning guys and happy August. I Wanted to jump in and say happy Birthday to Tom Brady, ONLY 30, Wow. What a great career for him already and more to come. We are closing in on the action guys. Who are you most looking forward to seeing in Pre-Season play?

I had a great time away in Tenn for a week and then after some recovery I went to the Brickyard 400 last Sunday and the truck race prior Friday night in Indy as well.

Glad to be home but going to Panama a week from today.

I am so excited about the upcoming football season. I am actually a bigger fan of college football than NFL. I really don't have a favorite team. I like to root on USC mostly. I just like their style of play. Pete seems to have Men on the field. He is such a great coach out there.

Anyhow, talk more as time permits, but wanted my new buddies to know all is well today for me and Lord Willing I'll be ok for a long time yet to come.

Have a good day

Welcome back and good luck in Panama, BE SAFE!

What have you heard regarding Booger? That is going to suck for you guys if he is done for the year. I really think that if he is out, that may be the last straw for your D. Do the Colts have any $$ left to sign someone worth while?

It is going to suck for the Pats too because I want both teams at full strength when they play and come away from that game injury free too.

Thank you very much. Nice to meet you. I'll be departing Indy around 3 PM tomorrow. I appreciate the well wishes very much. Appears Booger is gone for most, if not all, of the season. The big money is not there unless one of the big guns negotiates a lesser deal for more $ in hopes of landing a strong DL presence. The Colts have been waiving a few players (QB John Navarre as example) and also settled an injury payoff dispute with Devin Aromashadu trying to get as many defensive bodies as possible into camp to try and field the best defense they can.

If you sit and listen to the experts, many are stating that Indianapolis may not even win 9 games, win the South and for sure no way to repeat. I'll let time tell the story.

Here is what I have from the website as far as the Colts players, (Starters) for the Dallas game tonight although a couple listed are injured and will not play. Again, I am looking forward to seeing Sorgi this year in pre-season. He has a great teacher and ha looked better each season. I have a notion this guy may get a chance as a starter (I am serious) somewhere else if/when the opportunity arises.

OFFENSE
Starters

WR R. Wayne
LT T. Ugoh
LG R. Lilja
C J. Saturday
RG J. Scott
RT R. Diem
TE D. Clark
WR M. Harrison
QB P. Manning
RB J. Addai
FB L. Lawton

DEFENSIVE
Starters

LE R. Mathis
LT R. Brock
RT A. McFarland (IR) so ?????
RE D. Freeney
SLB R. Morris
MLB G. Brackett
WLB F. Keiaho
LCB K. Hayden
RCB M. Jackson
SS B. Sanders
FS A. Bethea

Twelve players have been ruled out for Thursday, Dungy said Wednesday morning.

Have a great weekend guys and I'll get back next week or sooner.

You guys get TAMPA tomorrow night as a 3 point dog but Tampa gets 3 just for home field. The Colts are 3½-5 point favorites for tonight right now. Both totals around 33½.

How are you fans feeling about Moss in the locker room and team chemistry? Quite a few people stand by the thought your coach cannot control him either.

Moss has one of the best QBs in the league throwing to him. The Pats are returning their entire O-line. They have improved their slot receiver and have a healthy competition going on opposite Moss. Two of which are players who Brady seems to have connected with.

On defense, the Pats have the likes of Richard Seymour, Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison who will also keep Moss in line. One of the big things about the Pats locker-room is that they really do police their own. And the team is no nonsense as they showed 2 years ago when they cut a guy for throwing boiling water on his roommate while his roommate was sitting on the pot.

Its funny that only Shell and the Raider OC last year ragged on Moss. You had plenty of former teammates come out and say how over-blown it was.

Before Pats fans count their chickens too fast, the Pats

had better re-learn how to confuse Peyton Manning and beat

the Colts. The last three meetings have resulted in 40-20, 27-20,

and 38-34 losses.

To do that, they need to be healthy on defense.

During the 40-20 loss, Harrison was out as well as 5 or 6 other DBs. Bruschi was just coming back from his stroke. Vrabel was playing injured and out of position at ILB. Matt Light had been lost for the season. And Seymour didn't play. In other words, the Colts got to go up against half the 2nd string defense.

During the 27-20 loss, Harrison was lost early in the game. Wilson, Graham, Neal and Hochstein didn't dress. Could the Pats have won? Yep. But Brady was clearly off that game.

During the 38-34 loss, well, its been rehashed numerous times. From the injured players that the Pats didn't have (Harrison, Seau, Wilson) to the players injured during the game (Dillon (?), Faulk), to some questionable play calling near the end of the game, to just the fact that half defense had the flu and got IV fluids at half-time.

I think that with the team the Pats have put together for this year, they stand a good chance of beating the Colts. Particularly with the players the Colts lost in the off-season.

Aqua, you are such a tool it's pathetic; Semper Fi, leave it in the Political Forum?? Do you have a clue as to what Semper Fi means; probably not, it is not sports related, the only thing you pay attention to in your pathetic life.

This kid is out there serving his country, deep in the **** as the saying goes, doing something you don't have the balls to do, putting his life on the line so morons like you have the freedom to post 9,000 times on the internet today.

You truly are a complete brain dead fool.

For the record FCF, I salute you and your bro's...............

Thanks Double G, but it's all fine. I am getting ready for the Colt Pre-Season opener. Listening to the sports analysts it seems they may as well not play a game because they have such little chance this season.
