I don't think what Montana said was really that bad. I believe the exact quote was "But if he did it, so what. Just pay up and move on. It's no big deal. It doesn't take anything away from Tom's game" Then proceeded to say how his Offensive Lineman cheated by spraying silicone on their jerseys, couple that with Jerry Rice using stickum and i'm sure Rice wasn't the only one on that team using stickum on that team. So Montana was clearly the beneficiary of cheating. Oh ya and then there was the whole thing where Bill Walsh used to sabotage his own headsets during their first few drives because he use to start games with a scripted game plan on offense and sabotaging the headset means the defense couldn't use their headset.
