QBs only win games when their name is Brady.

You’re not much of a statistician huh? Lots of quarterbacks have won games that aren’t name Brady, in fact there has only been one quarterback with the last name Brady to win an NFL game and that is, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. born on 8/3/1977 in San Mateo, CA.

These are some others who have won games not named Brady.

Brett Favre 186
Peyton Manning 154
John Elway 148
Dan Marino 147
Tom Brady 136
Fran Tarkenton 124
Johnny Unitas 118
Joe Montana 117
Terry Bradshaw 107

LOL @ all the energy wasted over a guy who couldn't even beat out Mark Sanchez! smh

You are of course referring to that same "lousy defense" that held the NY Giants and Eli to 19 pts in the SB and held the Raves to 20pts in the AFCC ?

Demo - you weren't following the Patriots then. So you will have to take our word for it, that 2011 Patriots defense was absolutely horrendous.

Dan freaking Orlovsky threw for 350 yards against this D. Vince Young threw for 400+. So did Chad Henne. I could go on and on. Think about that.

That's what I call.. to put it bluntly... 0wned.

Nicely done.

We've discussed this:

1. Your counting fumbles that arise from sacks and bad snaps (there was at least one of each in 2011 I believe). Obviously if he was a runner only, those type of fumbles wouldn't apply.

2. You're counting one year out of his career. Tebow fumbled rarely at college so his high numbers in one year could be an aberration.
All the fumbles should count. The inability to hold onto the ball is not position specific.

As much as I hate to admit it the Raven's had the game won if Flacco doesn't miss a wide open Vontae Leach in the endzone or Sterling Moore doesn't dislodge the football from Lee Evans.

Those 19 points in the Superbowl don't tell the whole story. Our sieve of a D allowed the Giants to posses the football for almost 40:00 minutes. Other than points, penalties, and turnovers, TOP is one of the the most important stats in football.

And in both games when the game was on the line they allowed the opposing offense to drive right down the field. They caught 3 breaks against Baltimore, but their luck ran out against New York.

Oh, and thanks for making me relive the horror of that game.

Says the troll.

Ill ask you like I have asked others, please provide one example of Demos trolling (just one and I will paypal you $100 no questions asked and I'll abide by it and live up to that promise) .
He is a knowledgeable football fan who really enjoys Tebow's brand of playing football (last 2 games not included in that statement) and while Demos is a prolific poster and statistician and can fight his own battles and doesn't need me , he really does not deserve anyone calling him a troll.

He is simply a passionate superfan and one helluva debater.

That's also feeding the troll my friend

I give people the benefit of the doubt because much like was the case with you and I initially, you can have one emotion toward them and then once you gain an understanding of them and what they’re all about and come to a common understand and reach a mutual respect, if she/he is not in here with a sincere motive which I was able to conclude you and other Tebow supporters are I will stop feeding him/her and move on, but I do not want to pass judgment on someone who I may be having a hard time understanding or they may be having a hard time conveying their intended message.

I do genuinely appreciate your looking out for me Demo, and I am happy we’ve been able to put our differences behind us and come to enjoy speaking to each other on here

You shouldn't be too happy about it as he just disproved your point, which was that QBs don't win games

You are a colts fan. You come here and add no substance to the conversation. Yesterday you were calling people gay and whatever else. And you call him a troll?

So explain how a fumbled snap is applicable to a RB. And how often do RBs hold the ball above their shoulders looking downfield?

Or if Cundiff doesn't choke and miss an easy FG. Game goes to overtime... would you trust that defense in O/T? I wouldn't.

They don't. That's a fact.

But the trolls "point" certainly was disproved.

You didn't answer my question... did Big Ben and his 22 passer rating "win" Super Bowl 40? Should we give him the "win"?

That's what I meant by three missed opportunities. Wide open Leach on second down, Evans has game winning TD dislodged by Sterling Moore, and Cundiff chokes and shanks gimmie field goal.

Not taking sides on this matter but a starting pitcher who gives up 10 runs but who's offense gets 11 still gets the win so it's not necessarily about performance in the real world but about outcome.

Tebow has earned a one way ticket to palooka-ville. Only in his case it'll be the evangelist talk show circuit. A lot more lucrative. Sooner this laughingstock is gone and all his "followers" with him...

Yup, and W-L for pitchers is flawed too. What if same pitcher allows only 1 run all game but his team scored 0. He "lost" the game even though he certainly pitched extremely well. Or if a closer enters the game with a 3 run lead, then gives up 3 runs, other teams ties game and then the closer's team wins in the bottom of the 9th. The closer gets the "win" even though he certainly didn't deserve it.

But at least in baseball a pitcher can in theory singlehandedly win a game, he can strike out every batter he sees. In football QB's cannot possibly win games on their own so it makes less sense to give him a "win". Everything the QB does requires "cooperation" from his team, if you know what I mean.

Says the troll.

I hope your other 40 posts added a little more value than this one, diminishing other members does not augment your status in here. I’m not reprimanding you, do as you please, I’m just offering you some food for thought.

Whats hilarious is you guys all debating this. He is going to be on the final roster book it, and no matter what you guys complain about its going to happen.

Also you will be surprised how they will use him to win throughout the season then all of you guys will be tuggin his junk Tebow fans.

Facts:
1. Tebow will make the team
2. Tebow will be #2 backup sometimes this season
3. Tebow will be the successor to Brady and have much success

The reason you all debate it is because you know deep down its true and you hate it.
