Practice notes

A few notes from today's practice, which was held outside on one of the fields behind Gillette Stadium:

* NT Vince Wilfork and TE Benjamin Watson were the lone players not present for the media-access portion of the workout. That meant S Rodney Harrison was present for his second straight media-access portion of practice. Also, LB Mike Vrabel and RB Kevin Faulk were present.

* WR Bam Childress wore a black jersey, as he was awarded the team's practice player of the week honor for the days leading up to Sunday's win over the Texans.

* LB Tedy Bruschi gathered the team after stretching, seemingly calling for a spirited practice.

* Players wore shorts/sweatpants, shoulder pads and helmets.

* Practice squad punter Tom Malone has been issued jersey No. 1.

* The print media was present for stretching and one set of warmup drills.

Obviously not ready yet...maybe later in the week...injury report?? ALL questionable...am worried about Faulk..Vrabel..as much..

It only says they weren't at the media portion of practice. They may have practiced after the media left. This week will be a very cagey one with injuries, because Del Rio is as big an injury fibber as there is in the league, BB included.

Maroney? any news on his concussion, uh I mean neck, uh I mean back, uh I mean his rib cage pull?

The Pats can win, probably in a low-scoring game, if they can neutralize the Jags' run game and force Garrard to throw to his big, but inconsistent WRs. Without Wilfork, Vrabel and Harrison, however...much tougher. Let's hope that Fred Taylor is given the day off.

Looks like Harrison and Maroney are close. Good news there.

Noticed that Reiss posting who practices is very reliable for who plays--wilfork & watson out this week for sure
