Harrison: Seymour very upset

How would any of you feel if you woke up today and your boss says "we're relocating you to Oakland. Be there by Monday."

Id throw a hissy fit too.

Stuff like this happens to military personel all of the time except they and their families are transfered worldwide and don't make millions of dollars. If they can handle this in defense of our country, then this should be a cake walk for Seymour and any other athlete.

They did both report, and then proceded to be insubordinate. The Pats returned Thomas for it after a couple of days, not sure the "league" got involved. Fred just shot his way out of town by being obnoxious. These were truly cases of players nullifying their own trades simply by misbehaving. Like lots of things the league has evolved in the 35 years since. This is big business now. They can't and don't put up with that crap like they did in the carnival atmosphere that was the barely post merger NFL.

Ah yes, the 1970's..... When the Patriots were the Raiders and the Raiders were the Patriots.

A) It could happen to me (and alot of us) at anytime, being in the military.

B) What was actually said was "We're relocating you to Oakland. Be there by Monday. You'll only have to play 16 games there and then you can go where ever you want for the rest of your life."

My son in law is in the reserves and was just called up for another tour of active duty. He isn't delighted about it. The Army pays him more than his civilian job so he's looking at the bright side, but he's not happy. He signed up to extend his stint willingly and takes what comes. There's bound to be someone who will say, "He's an officer and will get his own apartment paid for. What's he griping about? He has it made in the shade." Everything's relative.

I see both sides of the issue. You can't expect anyone to not be disappointed at a dissappointing situation just because they have a higher income than someone else. On the other hand, if you want to be a happy person you better count your blessings if you are given a gift like Seymour has.

You may throw a hissy fit but at the end of the day you'd either be in Oakland or be looking for another job. Seymour is welcome to look for a job outside of the horrible, overbearing NFL rules.

Why would anyone not one to be on such a great team with a proven head coach like Cable ...........

The last 2 companies I have worked for decided to pack up shop with little notice and didn't take the employees with them. I would've loved the choice to be able to go than to be unemployed in the current economic times.

I don't think he's a whiner because of the money he makes-- I think he's a whiner because he's damn lucky to have a job period right now.

FYI, Harrison is calling into WEEI any minute. You can get WEEI on iTunes free.

- He said he's real excited that TO opened his big mouth about the Patriots. Said Springs will be in his grill and Meri will be shoving his helmet down TO's throat. I like Rodney the commentator.

it was a great interview especially where he says the atheletes making millions ofdollars dont have it as bad as a normal guy working long hrs making much less. So saying its a cold business isnt fair according to him since you are getting paid a lot too
