Happy birthday Tom. Brady was the reason I started following the Patriots. I was a big Michigan fan (screw you, Rich Rodriguez) and Brady was by far my favourite player.

It's strange to think I only started watching the Pats because Bledsoe went down and my fav college player went in. I didn't think he'd make the roster, so when he got the chance to start a few games, I had to tune in. I thought they'd be the last few games of his career...glad I was wrong about that.

Given he wants to play for another ten years I think the look he's sporting this season was specifically designed to underscore the fact that he didn't play much in college or at all in his rookie season and as we know all too well sat out the 2008 season on IR... and as a result he doesn't feel a day over 29 in football years...

Brady is entering his 11th season. Aikman lost his skills and retired after 11 seasons. I'm just sayin................I feel OLD!

He also suffered from a myriad of injuries including to his back and after suffering his first concussion in his rookie season he endured at least 9 more including 4 in his final season. Dallas cut him as a result, and no one else was interested as a result.

Brady is entering his 11th season having played in 9 and to the best of our knowledge never having suffered a concussion. He's had his share of injuries, but they all do and he's been remarkably resiliant compared to many of his peers.
